  • saw this film today, highly recommended

  • I saw this film on Tuesday! It's a MUST SEE! SOOOOO funny!

  • Awesome

  • Everything will be alright in the end and if it is not alright, it is not the end yet :-)!

  • Dev Patel eats my heart...

  • "that's a gin and tonic!"

    *cough* "I know that now."

That line made me love this film already

  • I'm 20 and I went to see this film today and I LOVED IT!!! Go and see, no matter how old you are.

  • "I have a dream to create a home for the elderly so wonderful, that they will simply refuse to die!

    ...this man is dead."

  • Is there any film directors, who have the guts to conceive the rich side of India?

  • We Brits really know how to make good films...we need more like this to make up for so many crap films from US.....Amazing script and acting. Funny, sad, moving and inspirational. Best film so far this year.

  • this trailer doesn't show how amazing and funny this film actually is

  • penelope is as always, great

  • luv u tena

  • White people.

  • "there's an Indian in there" ahahah and "if she dies, she dies" hehehe ;) looks funny

  • That is one of the most repulsive film-titles I've ever heard of... It looks like a poorly don Disney-version-of-India and We-are-funny-because-we're-English-Rip off!

  • i have no idea who this film is going to appeal to. just more British middle class stereotypical crap designed by and for all the Luvvies

  • will there ever be a English movie that will not bloody stereotype India .

  • @akki263 Let us hope one day. You see, no body can write your own Story save yourself. Indians, we, must write our own Story.

  • this is the most amazing cast I have ever seen :)

  • Oh my mistake then. Everyone in India is happy. Good to know times have changed.

  • Went to see this today, I loved it!!

  • I cant wait to see this! and its the best cuz all the best actors and actresses are in it! how can america beat this?

  • If she dies, she dies.

    BOOM.

  • "I have a dream to create a home for the elderly so wonderful that they''ll simply refuse to die". BRILLIANT!

  • Brush your teeth you filthy brits

  • hahaha...love maggie Smith... he accent is class!!! :):)

  • Can't wait...love these actors...SO AGREE...could watch them all day over the fluff & stuff of most American actors.

  • Oh god - they are just recycling the same old, aging British actors. How boring.

  • Oh and all the Indian children that have been molested, beated, starved, abandoned and never known happiness in their live.

Whom then die, alone, crying and scared.

I suspect they might disagree that, just because its the end. Does not mean everything is ok!

What a load of sentimental ballcocks!

  • @AndrewJGallacher

We are not greedy, racist b*stard and sicko like you. We are poor but happy.

  • Film is pants! Excessive use of the term "One" when refering to themselves is fucking enraging. Does nobody actually know its incorrect grammer? Just because the royal family are useless spoilt twats doesn't make them masters of language. If you know what one means? Well of course you dont. I didn't say what one! But then, one what? Who? One inanimate object perhaps? The number one?

  • @AndrewJGallacher *referring, *it's, *grammar, *don't. Don't be a hypocrite.

  • @sparklyrainboww Yes its proper grammer when refering proverbally. Its not proper grammer when refering to a specific person. Unless that person is called One.

And i can only be a hypocrite if i myself use that term incorrectly. Which i never do.

  • @sparklyrainboww Third person singular. Thats the term i was looking for.

I lay no claim to being an Oxford scholar myself. Far from it. But thats just one thing i hate. I couldn't help myself but comment.

  • @sparklyrainboww shut it

  • "everything will be alright in the end. so if it is not alright it is not yet the end"

  • dev patel with indian accent.... Surprising!!

  • Harriet Jones is back, taking over India.

  • I cannot wait to see this movie!

  • I just heard that Miss Judi is losing her eye sight slowly, and she isn't planning to retire. Now that's a trooper and a very strong woman. I send my prayers to her and her family and friends. We love you Judi!

  • Penis. That is it.

  • "If she dies, she dies"

    hahahahahahahahah

  • Can't wait to see it! Love these actors, esp Bill Nighy

  • it's not Harriet Jones, it's Shaun's mum!

  • Great cast! Can't wait to see it :)

  • It looks amazing! This is the movie to watch and to learn from...

  • this looks like it's going to be amazing, can't wait to go and see it :D

  • Great cast .. American actors can't even get close to the talents of British actors!!!

  • @SandDec I am from England, and that is not true, Monsieur. Hyperbolic. How ironic that your Comment is concerning a Filme Indian.

  • @SandDec what a load of Shit !!! Actors are either good or bad, nationality has nothing to do with it.

  • @SandDec That's only because you see Hollywood's ugly kids with their hair died blonde and hyped as being very attractive in TV and movies, you don't see many of the great ones. S California

  • Everyone from Downtown Abbey moved to Marigold Hotel ? :)

  • I swear that guy who says 'Did I nod off' was in Holby City...

    This film looks EPIC.

  • @TheDunHorse it was, saw it 2day...laughed all through...:)

  • @menze4 Ahaha, going to see it tomorrow xD

  • i honistly think its a movie for ages over 15, not over 30! really want to go and see it

  • If she dies, she dies.

  • "if I can't pronounce it I don't want to eat it".... I love Maggie smith!

  • Can't wait for this movie!! The UK trailer is far superior though.

  • finally a movie for everyone over the age of 30!!!

  • @mmforkathy I'm 17 and I wann see it!!

  • @MegaGreatBritain Me too!

  • @mmforkathy I'm sixteen, and buzzing to see it. Please don't assume that to keep us adolescents happy, all we need is a lot of special effects and action. I don't even like special effects. It often takes away from the glorious acting talent.

  • Extraordinary bunch of british actors and a story set in India...how could i miss this one.

  • I feel so embarassed when Goans say that foreigners are flooding their state....WTF we have flooded their whole country and growing there @ 10 times...Where will their people people go....:-D

  • @GAURAV1140 When we say "foreigners", we mean the Indians and Russians.

  • Free Screening on sunday.

    ww w. showfilmfirst . co m/p in/110784

  • I can't wait to see this movie. British actors are so good.

    .

  • ROTFL! at the end...'youre not worreid about the danger of having sex at your age?' - 'if she dies she dies' pssssht!

  • I'd like to retire there!

  • it seems a really funny movie!! :D

  • oh my word, so many great actors and actresses.

  • "There you go. Good as new."

    "Really?!"

"No of course not. would you like me to not fix that chair?"

  • Gotta see this!!

  • Maggie Smith, best actress!

  • *Whispers* "There's an Indian in there..."

  • Is going to be a corker!

  • Can't wait for this!!!

  • I Also LOVE the Music (Score) for this trailer!

  • Cannot Wait for the film!

  • i don't care if it looks like a movie for old people, it looks good as! so many good actors. :D

  • "Nah, If I can't pronounce it, I don't wanna eat it" Oh Maggie! You do have some witty lines! :D I want to see this!

  • "I want to build a hotel for the elderly so extraordinary that they will simply refuse to die!"

    I love Dev Patel.

  • If this great little film sends you into thinking about India, the must have DVD is "India 101 - Hosted by Sazzy Varga" available on Amazon or createspace. Meanwhile, in the states, looking forward to The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

  • "Well she dies, she dies"

  • Looks like a really fun film. If this inspires you for india, check our trailers and look up "India 101" on createspace. But, really looking forward to this. Lets hope the directors of this film treat the child actors better than Danny Boyle did on Slumdog....

  • Looks good only just wished they hadnt cast dev patel as an indian, he really cnt do the accent prop. Cudve chosen an actual indian living there

  • Tom Wilkinson SOLD oh wait Maggie Smith SOLD also, oh and Bill Nighy SOLD...and Judi Dench SOLD, Penelope Wilton too SOLD...shit, think I made be sold on this one

  • God, I freaking love Dev Patel

  • If he dies, he dies

  • I haven't read the book - but if there aren't scenes with Judi and Maggie together, I will be MOST disappointed.

  • this looks so shocking, geriatric bollox

  • i think the golf scene, its changed from the coast of florida to the costa brava, i think anyway cause just saw the ad for it on the tv and said costa brava :)

  • pretty nice

  • this looks like such a happy movie!

  • This is so stereotyped. Awful

  • Why does everything have to incite a racist debate? -_-" This is a good entertaining movie about old people finding a new lease in life, enjoy it as such!

  • this movie is going to be brilliant, i mean just look at that cast! :)

  • Hmmmm.... I guess Americans do love India...

  • Check out Shaun of the Dead's parents walking past at 2:18

  • @cmb787 thats not his dad. Its his step dad.

  • Dev is so cute!!! :)

  • Even watching the trailer it made me laughed a couple times! I hope the movie will be a good one!

  • Minerva McGonagall , Davy Jones , M from James Bond and Carmine Falcone team up in India :)

  • Dev's character says: We have a saying “Everything will be all right in the end; so if it’s not all right – it’s not yet the end” L-O-V-E I-T.

One of my personal favourite philosophies USED TO BE "You don't drown by falling in the water, you drown by staying there." I think it was just replaced!! Don't go to movies much any more but I certainly won't miss this one.

  • Awesum trailer!

  • "Nah, If I can't pronounce it, i don't wanna eat it"

  • @BradleyBadder "alloo ka parantha" :P haha

  • OMG!! Shaun's mother and stepfather went to India?! :O

  • Here is another example of white people trying to show Indian culture in an attempt to win an Oscar

  • @jknanda2000 Three words - "Bride and Prejudice"

  • @jknanda2000 That is an ignorant and (dare I say) racist comment. This is a film set mostly in India. It probably won't win any Oscars but that's not the point. It's art / entertainment. Try to expand your narrow mind and not be quite so cynical.

  • @jknanda2000 +1

  • @jknanda2000 I understand your cynicism, because why do white people have to be the stars of a movie about India? I like Dev Patel but even I wonder if the trailer is ethnocentric?

  • @JordanjamesX Because it's not a movie about India as such, but from what I can gather at least, about retired English people broadening their lives one last time before they die, by experiencing something and somewhere completely different?!

  • The cast... this would at least be very good, if not phenomenal. :D

  • We have a saying in India, Everything will be alright in the end, so if it's not alright (pause) it's not yet the end.
