Having watched yesterday's match live in the Allianz Arena, I am very pleased with his playing style.
Not only is he great in the box, but also quite good technically and a suprinsing quick runner with and without the ball.
He already fitted in with the team immedeately. Nevertheless his runs weren't always timed to perfection as he doesn't know his team mates well enough. But given some time with his new team, this bloke will be the strong forward needed in Munich.
German 2nd League started last weekend and Cooper made an incredible first impression, scoring in his first game in Munich. His offensive partner Benny Lauth seemed to be very pleased with his way of playing and the fans love him.
Basically just came off the plane and fitted into the team immediately, pretty impressive!
it's debatable whether he's better than altidore and davies, but regardless, our idiot coach should be giving him more of a chance than he has so far, esp. considering he's averaging a goal every 2 games or so.
Oh yeah, since that was written, I have him below Davies and Altidore. Also below a guy named Marcus Tracy. Check him out. But he should certainly be in our main 23.
hopefully his time in the English Premiere League will force him to be more sure-footed with the ball, because i still feel jozy has the most potential of all our strikers.
either way, kenny going to germany will surely force our other strikers to continue to develop their respective games.

Norwegians speak english? whats the order in most spoken languages in Norway? Norway already houses another American player Clarence Goodson so i was wondering.
I have a Norwegian friend that's easily more literate in English than the average American.
I really wish American grade-schools would teach foreign languages with the same priority that European schools do.
But there simply isn't as much practical need for us to learn other languages, and so we don't. And that's a shame, because learning other languages can actually help you understand your native language better, as well as simply reinforcing a broader national perspective.
I think a lot of americans are way to critical and maybe under estimate the level of Tippeligaen. Me myself, I am an american living in Norway and I would say that the level of MLS and tippeliga are very similar. Kenny Cooper could do well in Rosenborg, as he does in Dallas.
But still, Rosenborg must seem more tempting considering the possibility of entering Champions League and/or UEFA Cup. Personally, I would go with Tippeligaen. Just because of that.
I'm happy Cooper isn't moving. At the rate he is playing this year, and the national team call ups that are sure to follow this year, he will be playing in the top flight in England, Spain or Germany by this time next year.
The technical skills he possesses, especially for someone his size (6ft 3 in. 200 lbs) are quite amazing.
Rosenborg are the best team for players who wants to grow their football skills. It's a very good choice for Cooper. They are also in the top league in Norway.
Cardiff is MAYBE in Premier League after next season, and from there, they're not going to win against teams like Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd.
Rosenborg can win the Norwegian Tippeligaen, and win against Stabæk and other teams if they score on their chances.
I'm Cardiff born and bred, but have lived in Trondheim for 5 years now. I think I'm in a good position.
The Norwegian league is at a level somewhere between Championship and League One. RBK certainly arent the team they used to be either. No-one cares about the Norwegian league outside Norway.
Cardiff meanwhile are a club on the up. They play in the 4th best supported football league in the world, and are one step away from the biggest domestic stage in the world.
"The Norwegian league is at a level somewhere between Championship and League One."
Give me a break! The fifth best team in Norway last season played in Champions League - and did it really well. I would like to see Cardiff in the same spot. It would have been ugly.
CCC is more stone age than RBK ever will be. If Cooper fancy a technical style of football, he's got to choose Rosenborg.
No offence meant, but look at the clubs side by side.... HamKam, FFK, Ålesund.... Birmingham, Forest, QPR. The Championship has far more strength in depth. RBK did very well in the CL last year, I'll give you that, but when was the last time another side qualified? And do you think RBK could do the same this year, because I don't.
As for technical football... have you seen Rosenborg recently? My girlfriend is a fan, and she can't bear to watch them right now.
Cardiff is not a shithole! Cardiff is the fastest growing european city around and with the bay we have a beautiful area for people to live in. We outplayed Middlesbrough last season and have already beaten Celtic in the Algarve cup, we now have a stronger squad than last season. We have the best centre back pairing outside the Premiership and signing Cooper will give us the fire power to go from a play-off team this season to a promoted team.
Why the hell would he go to the stinking pit called the English league below PL to play the likes of Doncaster and Leeds, when he can go to Rosenborg and play AC Milan in the UEFA Cup? Get real guys, Cardiff is a shithole in the footballing world, a fancy stadium won't change that. If he doesn't go to a team with tradition for CL football in the best country in the world, compared to Cardiff, he's retarded. No offence intended to Cardiff - supporters.
ELLIOTP01, where will his career go from Rosenborg?
Almost every foreign player who've been in Rosenborg have been sold to a top european team. Look at Fredrik Stoor: Before he came to RBK, he was nothing.. After a while, he became better and better. Now he's on the swedish national team, and is going to Fulham.
I'm a Cardiff fan and I will be very excited if we get him! This video shows he is strong, powerful, composed and has enough pace to go past players. With the skills and tricks he can do he reminds me of Ibrahimovic!
theyre going to be all over him even more so after todays performance against LA. 2 goals 1 assist.. almost got the hat trick. coming from a dallas fan: id rather see him to go england if he doesnt stay in dallas.
if cooper moves to rosenborg, where will his career go from there? dont forget hes only 23 years old. If he comes to cardiff then he has a real shot of getting to the premiership, either with cardiff city or a premiership club that takes an interest in him.
cardiff city also have a £30,000,000 stadium that can hold 29,000 people, it also has a 470,000 sq ft retail development between four major retailers and a brand new 70 room hotel with bar & restaurant. this will be completed for next season, by which time I would expect the club to be a premiership team. thats why he would want to come to cardiff.
That does not have anything with football does it? RBK are good economically yes, and they are planning to build on the stadium, but lal. If cardiff have room for 29 000 ppl they should be in PL, cuz the stadium is pretty empty all the time i guess. Lerkendal which have room for 21 000 is full all the time!
And as i said. It will be built even more! They are planning to make it between 30-40 thousand!
Rosenborg have won the league 20 times and the Norwegian Cup 9 time. Last Season we won 2-0 over Valencia Home And Away. We playd 1-1 against Chelsea and we where number 3 in our group. What the Hell have Cardiff Done?
We've beaten Real Madrid, We've beaten Milan. We came to the quarters in the champions league ones. And as the other one said, league champions 20 times! And we've won the norwegian cup several times too!
Your not in the top division in England man! Get real!
Participated in Champions League 12 times. Reached the quarter-finals.
Sending home AC Milan after beating them at San Siro. Beat Real Madrid, Dortmund in Germany(when they where maybe best team in Europe), Valenciax2, Olympiakos several times and many more top european teams. Cardiff beat Celtic in algarve cup(lol). We nailed them in Champions League.
Ohh you have beaten Real Madrid once? in the past. Let me give you some facts about Rosenborg from the past. We have been ranked to the 6.place in the World Ranking by CNN Borussia Dortmund 0-3 Rosenborg Rosenborg 1-1 Juventus Rosenborg 2-0 Celtic Rosenborg 2-2 Inter Milan Rosenborg 1-1 Lyon Rosenborg 1-1 Arsenal Rosenborg 2-0 Real Madrid Olympiakos 1-3 Rosenborg Valencia 0-2 Rosenborg Rosenborg 2-0 Valencia Chelsea 1-1 Rosenborg and we have won our League 13 times in a row
Hahah! One of the reasons he wants to join RBK is that they are playing in the European Cup almost every year. And RBK has a goal to be one of the 30 best clubs. Copper is ideal for RBK, and RBK is ideal for Cooper.
Another great player come from USA. I believe Cooper can be like Brian Mc Bride in Premiere League playing. Even more, because his footwork and dribbling is better then Mc Bride. He is a Qualified Striker. Salute.
He's going to be a brilliant player for Cardiff City, isn't he. Cooper's going to be playing in a very competitive standard of league, which is SO clearly better than Rosenborg. After all, who the hell are THEY?
