Raimondi is way too majestic in this role. He's about as exciting as watching paint dry. Escamillo should be a rock star, like Sam Ramey in the 1987 Met production! It's also on YT. Also take a look at Justino Diaz in this role. It's on YT too. He's quite good and he was only 24 at the time.

First, Don Jose is spelled with a J, not an H.

Secondly, Raimondi is singing Escamillo, not Don Jose, which is a tenor role.
