Interesting form of social control also gives help to those who can afford to upgrade, and penalizes those who can not afford to. I could put LED Bulbs thru out my home and go green it costs 60 bucks a bulb who on disability can afford that?

We need to do something, but we need to be measured, and considered in our response.

not everyone has to play the game. i think it is safe to assume that only those with time and money are able to play or play well.

this isn't supposed to be a cure for saving the environment. it is one of many ways to help.

Why not require Manufactures to produce products with minimum electricity use? Thanks to Narcotics Terrorists, there's never been a safe standard of electricity use per Utility, Object Unit. Electricity has been used to manipulate people & produce disease. Narcotics + Electricity = Human Jellyfish, "Funkey Monkey".

Interesting idea, but how much energy does it take to stay connected to the Internet?

The power consumption of a typical computer is surprisingly low. I do not know what the power needs of internet connectivity are, but I do that operating a PDA (taking into account every aspect of its connectivity)only consumes 0.5 kW*h/year. I can't imagine that the connection of a computer to the internet would consume a radically higher amount.
