  • THANKS FOR THE TIP.

  • I was in St. Sulpice on Easter Sunday a few years ago. What a thrill! M. Roth ended the service with a brilliant performance of the Franck Finale. I'll never forget it!

    Thanks.

  • Gigout-"Grand Chorus Dialogue" .. is the piece that he's playing in this video sample

  • I would have loved to hear the entire dialogué on that organ...

  • @Mitsugejl Check on here for a performance of the Gigout on the Cavaille-Coll organ at St. Ouen in Rouen. I suspect you'll enjoy it.

  • This is one trip I would love to make. The organ Daniel Roth plays is like no other. You don't see these type of organs anymore exept in OLD, OLD movies! Rather than saying Daniel Roth, I say Daniel ROCKS!!!

  • Ive met Mr roth a few times on visits to this organ hes such a gentleman in all ways. Very interesting and talks and answers what must be thousands of questions each year about this. to see him play is amazing. so humble yes a true artist and mast of his art!

  • excelent

  • Such a shame we couldn't hear the whole of the dialog. Thanks for posting. =D

  • Great Video!! Thanx!!

  • Oh. Silly me! I love the chord at 0:33.

  • No, It's Gigout!

  • What is Mr. Roth playing at the begining? Is it BACH? 0:13

  • Eugene Gigout's Grand Choeur Dialogue my friend

  • I think that's one of my favorite Rick Steves episodes.

  • Rick, you should have played it yourself! Try it for the next video!

  • That song!!! SOmeone please!! What is that first and last song he's playing?!!??! I think its a grand march of some kind! ANyone know the exact title??

  • Grand Choeur Dialogue ~ Eugene Gigout

  • The piece Master Roth is playing is Grand Choeur Dialogué by Eugène Gigout.

  • did you find it? need the sheet music? drop me a line.. ;-)

  • Grand Choeur Dialogue by Eugene Gigout.

  • Thanks for sharing this!

  • But I see he is as magnificent as ever..

  • But.... how many? How many of us deserve to study with him?

There are so many of us....

    What will become of us?

Playing that organ is one thing but to become someone to its organist is quite different.

There is a difference between the listener and the player.

The player is the one who has a chance and has to work hard but the listener never has to work and they can easily gain favour.....
