Nice pictures. Brings back memories. I made a solo canoe trip in Prince William Sound out of Whittier in 1992 for a couple of weeks. Loved it, but with an open canoe, I didn't dare go more than a few yards off shore. I watched the kayakers a mile out and envied them.
Anadyr Adventures is a guiding outfit located in Valdez. They run guided daytrips to Columbia Glacier from May through September and do a fantastic job. You don't need any experience! Your guide gives you paddle instruction in the morning and is with you to keep you safe. The guides also have a lot of knowledge about the area and its wildlife. Well worth the trip!
We used Pangaea Adventures out of Valdez for our trip. They did an excellent job. If you have little or no experience or just want everything handled for you, you can do a guided trip. You can also rent the gear and do it yourself if you have experience.

first do you have to be a skillful kayaker to do a trip like this?
And second how would you even go about doing a trip like this, do you have to go through a travel service?
