I go to hope cove a lot. I've seen whole waves rolling over that breakwater - the power can be immnese. When it's really rough - its scarey even standing behind it on the beach!
ha, i remember seeing a documentry on this once. Apparently Robbie Coltrane was going to wear a wetsuit under his clothes, but they couldent get one his size, so he volunteered to do it without one and he got drenched to the bone lol
its in hope cove devon, loved the supergrass.disapointed when i went and walked the seawall its separated halfway by rocks you have to climb over them to get to end.
it's on youtube under "Robbie Coltrane Marching down the Breakwater at Hope Cove", but can someone explain me what the fuck is so special about this scene? a fat dude marching down the ocean getting some water on his suit... maybe i'll understand it better upon seeing the movie, which will take place very soon, unless emule decides otherwise...
Well done. I think the cameraman was being blown about a bit too!

Robbie Coltrane said in the documentary, "even the safety boats refused to go out, but there were a lot of girls around, so I had to do it" LOL.
It IS one of the best scenes in all of The Comic Strip films. I watched it on DVD the other night and its still brilliant.
One thing that really pisses me off, is The Comic Strip DVD collection is heavily edited. Especially South Atlantic Raiders. WHY !?
Still, hats off mate for trying to recreate a classic. Nice one.

Nice try, but you bottled it! The original scene has to be one of the greatest scenes in 80's British cinema. Where is this? Somewhere in Cornwall?
