  • 7:17 thinkin of brunette girls...

  • Why did you not see the first 6 minutes?

  • @MgoMuse

Outside of the local area, ABC blacked out the first few minutes so they could stare at JoePa's house. I'm not sure what they were smoking.

  • lol i missed Michigan's ruthless hard hitting defense

  • Thanks for putting all these vids on here parkinggod. And yea it was bs the beginning of this game wasn't showed by ESPN because they wanted to talk in studio about Penn State...not because there was an actual game going on...but to talk about a game that was just played. Pathetic by ESPN.

  • @TheZooCrew

    oops I did forget,

Its obvious why Rich Rod did so bad, its because he didn't fo well with Loyd Carr players, Rich Rod was pullign that offense around when he was fired, he recruited Denard,,Tusaint, most of the offence of players,

but Hoke has pulled around the DEFENCE which needed that.

  • Don't you guys just love Kovacs!

  • @HMSblinkin

    As he should be!

Top 5 in scoring defense, hes done a great job!

Don't get me wrong i'm happy there doing so well, I mean this team last year was one of the worst defences in the FBS!

I wish we still ha Loyd Carr. We were 11-1 when he was there then boom 3-9

  • @noahJetPlane

well it was Lloyd Carr that got us RR. you can thank him for that also.

  • @noahJetPlane

I see you forgot the 9-4 season (my freshman year) that was 2007 and foretold of DOOM.

Lloyd Carr was a good coach, even a great one, but he's demonstrated that he'll put his own players ahead of the program. It was his time to retire; too bad no one up top was competent enough to make the coaching transition anything other than a clusterfuck.

  • @TheZooCrew That 9-4 season was a precursor to DOOM! You are absolutely right. It's exactly what happened when Urban Meyer left Florida. It's not that Urban Meyer made such a huge difference. Meyer saw the writing on the wall. All of his strong players were leaving and there was nobody left to fill the gaps, so he got out quick. Same thing with Lloyd Carr, except the few players we did have transferred which results in a three win season instead of a six win season. Still horrible though.

  • ah yes but the fact he coached here a while ago,I mean he left one of the best defenses in the NFL to goto one of the worst defenses in the FBS. Were lucky he decided to come back

  • @noahJetPlane Perhaps he wanted a challenge? Certainly rebuilding this D the way he has would constitute a really run challenge for a D coordinator, and I'm cure he's got to be really proud of himself and this team right now.

  • Yeah Michigan got super lucky to pick up a Baltimore Ravens Defensive Cordinator....GO Blue

  • @noahJetPlane

Luck may have been a small part of it, but Hoke and Mattison coached together at Michigan in the mid-90s, which is why he came back.

  • Fantastic defense. I really liked the commentary on those plays where UM had 7-8 guys on the line, but then 4 of them drop back into coverage, leaving 4 to rush the QB and still get the sack.

It's truly amazing that these are basically the same guys who gave up 63 pts to Ill. last year. Mattison is a god among D coordinators.

  • frank clark just wrecks the RT at 8:22

  • It's crazy how loud the crowd is cheering for Michigan!

  • This was a great video, I'm really glad you decided to show the field goal and so much defense!

  • tebowing at 1:39 lol

  • It's great to see so many defensive highlights!

I couldn't help but smile at some of them!

  • i could watch the defensive series starting at 4:42 all day.

  • Good job Wolverines. The big test will be these next two weeks! nebraska and TSDS.

  • I'm just glad as hell they blocked that FG or we would have missed a lot more of the game.

  • @StormintheUK no shit. i had my bar stool in hand ready to throw in case it was good. thank god for network blackouts. if it wasn't for that archaic practice maybe we could have seen the start of the game on one of ESPN's 5 regular, and 2 alternate channels.
