  • Bodybuilders and football players are also chemically created.

As much as I like Dr. Fuhrman's advice, I don't see how I could give up animal protein.

  • @yardape99 the key is moderation

  • @yardape99 Why?

  • the way i see it....the body is a healing machine...i will eat meat till im like 50...after that age its practically impossible to gain any more muscle and strength for somebody who has worked out their whole life....after 50 ill go veggie and just focus on maintenance and longevity....

  • @readytorockithard23 The Animal Liberation Front plans to kill all the flesh-eaters, with food poisoning or just shoot them like the Virginia Tech Massacre -- that happened exactly five days after the death of Slaughterhouse Five author Kurt Vonnegut -- a big clue that ALF was behind it. Same with the murder of Ronni Chasen right after she served beef and turkey at the Burlesque premiere. Same with the 1984 McDonald's massacre, the Luby's shootings, Columbine cafeteria, etc.

  • Does anybody know of any doctor in Australia (preferably in the state of Victoria) that practices the or similar principles as Joel Fuhrman? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

  • Visit the Best of You Today's website to view Dr. Fuhrman's interview with us!

  • i eat a plant-based diet. but i also eat at least 8 oz of animal protein a day (chicken, turkey). humans evolved on meat.

  • @markuskentwood Humans did not evolve by eating meat. The human brain is fueled by glycogen, which is solely found in vegetables, and it stores glucose. This is a very common misconception.

  • @markuskentwood That's not true. Complex carbohydrates fueled human evolution.

  • @1imesub Then why is there always evidence of meat consumption from bone analysis and butcher remains from ancient "humans." The cave painting Cro Magnons painted animals not carrots. "Humans" have always been omnivores and have the biology to prove it. Beef (Buffalo, Mastadon, Cave Bear,etc...) with Brochilli..mmm.

  • @LetzBeaFranque Humans ate other humans as well, on a regular basis in fact. If you want to live like a caveman, be sure to eat plenty of humans!

  • @LetzBeaFranque Do you think cannibal serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer worked alone? Rod Serling warned flesh-eating humans decades ago that extraterrestrials eat people who eat animals. The name of that Twilight Zone was To Serve Man. Hollywood told you the same thing in the movie Silence of the Lambs - Dahmer was arrested at the same time that cannibal movie was released. You're stupid to tell the world that you eat animals. Paul McCartney says flesh-eating will end the human race.

  • Vegan FTW!

  • Dr. Joel Fuhrman sure knows what he is talking about..

  • My granddad ate meat all the time, was a weightlifter (odd for his generation since he was born in 1897) bowled, golfed, hunted, fished, played drums in a swing band, did smoke cigarettes but finally gave up smoking when he was 72, stayed thin and quite muscualr 'til the day he died. He was 93. We l think that he could have probably lived to be 100 or better had he not smoked for so much of his life. So, much as I respect Fuhrman. I don't completely buy the meat leads to shorter lifespan theory.

  • @wildnites558 but you understand that most people this days are lazy(siting in the car or on the couch) - not active like your granddad- so digestion meat without active lifestyle = health problems soon or later.

  • Please look at this channel should you wish health and healing.

    peace and Blessings to all.

  • This video could have benefitted from a more visual background (an electric outlet on a bland-colored wall?) and better sound system. The information is very good.

  • I'm a vegan but I have a high intake of protein, I found that I do best on a high protein (high but not excessevely high). I get my proteins mostly from nutrient-rich whole foods like legumes, quinoa, hemps seeds, spirulina, chlorella, maca, bee pollen, goji berries, tempeh, nut and seeds and some unrefined grains.

  • @XNinjaSebX have to break it to you, you're not a vegan if you consume bee pollen

  • isn't igf-1 good for the muscles though?

  • keep it lean :)

  • Thank You Dr. F .......

  • Really great, short, informative advice on nutrition and protein intake.
