I doubt 2012 will happen. Think about it, these people were WAY behind our level of science. The genocentric and heliocentric models of the solar system were not thought up yet, so they had no idea how the planets revolved or rotated. In the later years of the Mayan civilization, they also created, and they got high off of it a lot.

The Mayans DIDN'T predict the end of the world - even modern day Mayans have studied the calendar and have concluded that the end of their calendar does NOT indicate a Doomsday theory; simply a moment of great change. That could be ANYTHING: New world leaders, new economy, new technology, etc, etc.

The Doomsday theory came across the Western countries originally.

Nothing in this video or any other videos state 21 December, 2012 will be doomsday. They are simply stating something bad MAY happen, not will. There is a chance of nothing, something, or extremes happening. All this videos do is provide theory and ideas towards one of the three options.

The reason that God didn't get to destroy the calender becuz god had lost the battle against the Mayans. It's ok. We've got to stay optimistic. This is what I've been trying to do with these videos. I see the end of the world not as a tragedy, but as a natural thing (everything in this world has an end, so why not the world itself would end) and an opportunity to reconsider our priorities in our lives.

Im guessing there was a virus or infection that they couldnt handle. We have seen evidence of pandemics etc in today's society, fortunately we havent seen anything too serious or anything that our technology couldnt handle. However, the Mayans didnt have the medical knowledge that we do, not to mention their hygiene must have been much lower, so it seems logical that a disease could have wiped them out.
