I have two visions about Pierre Boulez:

1) After this version, the entire production of Bayreuth changed...

Great! I like this staging. Chéreau rocks, and what's wrong with Boulez? He sounds barbarian, dark and majestic.

I think it is an interesting staging. It is actually fun to see opera in a more modern jacket than the old one. Honestly almost none of the youngsters these days love to watch opera because the stereotypical picture of the old dresses, etc. Pierre Boulez has made a new age for opera back then.

And this versions ran like 6 years, it is tradition on the Bayreuther Festival, so technically he didn't rape the Ring Cycle in 1976.
