I am very fortunate to find these videos of yours on shrutis. However, I have browsed over several internet pages and have found different selections for shrutis than the ones you have selected for the ragas you've presented. I was wondering if there is any very credible and reliable text etc. that clearly explains the logic behind the selection of these shrutis.
Dr. Praful Kelkar, do you have a book or a tutorial. I am really interested in the break down as you describe. I want to hear you teach on gamaka, too. I know so little.
Thanks a lot, Dr. Kelkar. You combine the wholistic (bhaava/rasa) aspects of the Raaga beautifully with the analytical (svarastthaana) aspects. Not many people can do that as clearly and elegantly simply as you have. You have a great Guru and you have become a great Guru for enthusiasts of the Sarod like me (I call it Rudraanee Veena in relation to Rudra Veena and to respect the Samskrta root "Rud=To cry" as the Sarod can evoke Karuna very effectively.)
