i've been pondering the same question for 5 years now. we're too young to be chasing this childish desire to find "forever". all you can do is accept that life is made up of experiences, and if you don't experience, you don't live.
My point exactly, everything most end at one point, why waste your time with what you know will just that that exactly away from you. I say have fun enjoy life, just don't stay on one thing too long. Before another opportunity passes you by.
To experience something new/different, to have fun, to learn.
I don't think all relationships should shoot for being 'teh 1', and I certainly don't think that if they don't last a huge amount of time that they're meaningless.
the process and what you can get from it is more important than the end or the result, well even if I know this, I still have the same thoughts, like whats the point if there will be an end for everything anyway...

because if u don't "waste the time" u at the end will definetely think of "what would be if...".
better to do it then regret of never doing it. especially if u really believe that u'll be alone in the end.

Who says you're going to be alone. The point is eventually you find someone who wants you--just you ---the end

Emo.
but in a way. True.
Maybe conforming into a belief isn't so bad? Istead of moping around about the inevitability of death to come. Eh? Anyone agree?

Your attitude on this subject is apathetic and fatalistic. Snap out of it. Create your life. Quit being a victim.

I don't think your problem is with dating, Jed, it's with Vanessa. Just admit you're not that into her...
