Still the greatest theme to the greatest moment of my absolute favorite anime of all times. I can't believe it's been 15 years since this piece of AMAZINGNESS ended.
i have no idea what hes saying......but this song is so soothing lol i think thats vegeta.....the voice actor that played vegeta in japanese also sang the opening song i believe and some other songs in the series........
I like the english voices but the japanese sountracks. All except vegetas theme and gokus ss3 theme. Other than that JP makes the series more sentimental and better.
Buu Saga went south at an extreme speed for me... Gohan should have stayed the bad-ass he was when he defeated Cell, or at least have him take a SLIGHT dip in his overall fighting skills.. Not completely eff up his character. Also, Vegeta should have been much stronger, nearly as strong as Goku. It's so disappointing how he ended up being so much worse than Goku, since they're arch-rivals and all. Lastly, Goten and Trunks reaching SSJ with ease was BS. And Gotenks was VERY annoying in my eyes.
I have to say although i never cared for the original japanese version. If I see people bitching about how gohan going ssj 2 was better in Z(english dub) or how it was better in Kai. The japanese version shits all over English dub and kai
@TheOfficialGoten Uhhh, no. It was stated from the very beginning that Kai was going to be about 100 episodes. Seeing as how the final episode produced was number 98, that seems to indicate that they never planned to go beyond the Cell Saga. It makes sense considering the Cell Saga was where Toriyama originally planned to end the manga. He extended it into the Buu saga because of popularity and the fact some people didn't like making Gohan the final hero instead of Goku.
It wasn't cancelled due to low ratings. The ratings on Japanese TV was actually quite high each week, most of the time retaining a top 10 rank in ratings.
It was cancelled because DVD sales were poor, for one.
No official sources say exactly why Kai was cancelled. It is all logical speculation made by the lovely folks at Daizenshuu EX.

@TheTenjin666 11 isn't a dub error, it's stated in the japanese version as well. Don't put FUNI's awful innacuracy of a dub towards me when I wouldn't use the dub to save my life. Gohan is respectively 10 in the manga and 11 in the anime.
This theme alone reminds me why I like the Japanese version so much better than the English dub. That, and the fact that in the same scene, the Japanese version has absolutely NO lines during Gohan's SSJ2 transformation other than Piccolo saying Gohan's name in shock. Less is better, something the English dub didn't get right. :P

@Jpicc89 I didn't pay attention to the fact that it wasn't the American version because it didn't say which one it was other than Gohan's theme. So it was an accident. And I was exaggerating earlier about it sucking. I have respect for it and the whole japanese version of the cartoon since it was the japanese who created this cartoon. If it weren't for them that would mean no DBZ at all. So I give credit where it's due. I just prefer The American dub that's all. All in all it's still DBZ :)

I've uploaded the entire Cell Saga in Japanese w/ English subs. This is the music that plays when Gohan goes SSJ2 (Episode 182 " The Tragic No 16!! An Enraged Super Gohan Takes Action"). If you've never seen the Japanese version watch it, its way better than the English dub.

Developers from DBZ games should use this Theme when Gohan goes SSJ2 for the first time in their games, that would be epic! i think they should make the games a little bit more cinematic that would a pretty cool addition for me.Like when Gohan sees Cell crushing N16 head, and that bird pass by Gohan.. This is one of my favorite themes from the Japanese version. By and large, I've found the Bruce Faulconer themes from the English version superior to the English music (SSJ3 theme in particular).. that being said - this is one of the few Japanese themes that fit amazingly to the actual scene and on its own just a beautiful song in its own right.
@XxShadow69xX Thank you for being one of the few to have some sense and call it down the middle here. I completely agree with you. Typically, I can't stand the JP version's normal instrumentals, but I have always liked Hironobu Kageyama's work. His songs ALWAYS fit the mood for DBZ and this is no exception.
Come on we're all DBZ fans here. I'm not a huge fan of the japanese soundtrack, but they have some pretty tight shit on there. I personally like this scene in japanese better because it seemed like Gohan was speechless. This song has a nice ass intro too.
I prefer the bruce faulconer's version of this theme. I know everyone watching this video will disagree, but listen to it and tell me it's not awesome.

I've uploaded the entire Cell Saga in Japanese w/ English subs. This is the music that plays when Gohan goes SSJ2 (Episode 182 " The Tragic No 16!! An Enraged Super Gohan Takes Action"). If you've never seen the Japanese version watch it, its way better than the English dub.

Developers from DBZ games should use this Theme when Gohan goes SSJ2 for the first time in their games, that would be epic! i think they should make the games a little bit more cinematic that would a pretty cool addition for me.Like when Gohan sees Cell crushing N16 head, and that bird pass by Gohan.. Wow that would be great :D

@SUPERDEADLYKING Yeah! in my country (Dominican Republic, latinoamerican country we speak Spanish ;D) DBZ used the original soundtrack from the anime in japan, i loved that! and im really looking forward to the new game to have the original one and this theme of course as you said ;D let's just pray :D

This is one of my favorite themes from the Japanese version. By and large, I've found the Bruce Faulconer themes from the English version superior to the English music (SSJ3 theme in particular).. that being said - this is one of the few Japanese themes that fit amazingly to the actual scene and on its own just a beautiful song in its own right.

Typically, I can't stand the JP version's normal instrumentals, but I have always liked Hironobu Kageyama's work. His songs ALWAYS fit the mood for DBZ and this is no exception.

Come on we're all DBZ fans here. I'm not a huge fan of the japanese soundtrack, but they have some pretty tight shit on there. I personally like this scene in japanese better because it seemed like Gohan was speechless. This song has a nice ass intro too.
