  • "humane", FUCK YOU!! haha no trap is humane.......

  • aaww poor little guy is scared. Hope he found a nice safe home.

  • rats didnt carry the black plague

    fleas did

    rats merely carried the fleas

  • really rats are misunderstood.....read your history black plague....rat fleas.....killed 25 percent of the world population.........rats and mosqutos combined have killed over 3 billion peple

  • I must say , I am torn , I love rats ! I have three pet rats they are the greatest creatures in the world, But feral rats need to be killed (humanly) I strongly disagree with drowning them and possibly sending the mother in law round but shooting or kill with a shovel needs to be done. As for rats have only one way to threaten your health with its urine and feces well thats just wrong, Although any animal , certainly the rat needs to be respected. I have just bought myself one of these traps.

  • Shoot them, smash them, trap them, poison them, burn them, drown them, set the cat on them, set the dog on them, set the cat AND the dog on them, run em over, run em through, blow them up, scare them to death, threaten them with violence, take a hit out on them, send them poison pen letters, tip them off to the IRS, send the mother in law around to deal with them………. Any fucking thing, just get the fuck rid of them….!

  • Rats do not have the same fuckwit emotions as you, they will eat you given the chance, If hungry they will kill and eat other rats, even their own offspring. They don’t have sentiment, grief or anything nearly resembling humanity. They are pure bred vermin, and they need controlling.

  • I caught two rats the other night in our woodshed. They had been gnawing through cables, also getting into the chicken feed.

I used a humane live catch trap, as the constant blast of my shotgun keeps the neighbours awake and upsets their dog.

I carefully picked up the trap, took them out into an adjacent paddock where I “relocated them” (I love that terminology) into a barrel of water. Then the next day I gave them a full cremation service without prayer (apparently they were atheists)!

  • Rats are vermin, they are a threat to humans worldwide. They carry diseases and parasites (read about the plague) which also carry disease. They contaminate food, drinking water, they consume precious food stocks, especially in places of mass storage, and usually third world countries where food is in short supply to start with. They have been a scourge on mankind since God was a lad! All you bleeding heart namby pamby tosser make me sick. Get a grip on the reality of it all.

  • @Britguy1962 Your ignorance makes me sick, not all rats carry diseases and it's not likely that you'll contract it. Rats are not a threat to humans. Keep food stored if you don't want them urinating on it or eating it. Rats existed before humans. Secondly if you knew any better you'd know that the virus on fleas were the cause of the plague, not the rats. Clearly you're an idiot who listens to the media too often, the media is misleading.

  • @pippy1994 Rats were the carrier of “flea”. You dumb bint, and of course rats are a threat to humans. All you tree huggin’ fuckwitts make me sick, you live in la-la land and have no real comprehension of reallity. So what if rats existed before humans, that has nothing to do with the threat they pose. And not everyone has a nice rodent proof house and Tupperware boxes to store all their food in. Clearly you are an idiot who watches to many Walt Disney films…. Life isn’t like that you fool...!

  • @Britguy1962 Wow I do realise they had fleas, they are not a threat to humans. I'm not a tree hugger. It's called life; all they want is a safe home and a good supply of food just like we do. I don't watch Disney films and think they're real dumb shit, Those are fucking fairytales. -_-

  • @pippy1994 You are a young girl still living at home, you have pet rats and mice (as do many kids), and no doubt your parents are quite understanding. One day you will grow up, get a real job and hopefully grow out of your “rodent” fixation, maybe when you get yourself a man….. or woman. But for now, you are just a kid who likes rats. Pets are fine, but rats at large... they are not. We live rural, and we kill rats any and every way we can, shooting, drowning, poisioning, burning... no mercy!

  • @Britguy1962 I'm not that young. I already have a man, I have for 3 1/2 years. My whole life i've like rodents, and recently I have found that it's a passion to save them if they are on the verge of losing their life or being mistreated. I have a wild rat in my shed, I feed her every evening and she's never been a problem. If it's truly neccessary to have to kill them then do it in the quickest and most humane way possible. A quick death is better than a slow and painful death of suffering.

  • @pippy1994 Wow, you started playing “hide the sausage” at an early age!!!! Okay, tell you what, you keep saving the flea ridded disease carrying vermin, and “we” in the real world will do what we have to do. I’m sure your “wild rat” hasn’t been a problem, but try living on a farm where the little bastards are out breeding everything else!... rats are good for one thing only.. laboratory experiments!

  • @pippy1994 I’m sorry Pippy1994… I just cant let this one go… you say you have had a man for 3 1/2 years… and you’re just 17..? So you have “had a man” since you were 13..? Wow, he could do serious time for this you know!..... stick to rodents, at least you wont get pregnant. And "your whole life" isnt really that long is it... at just 17 I mean.

  • @pippy1994 I bet if one of your rats/mice or whatever got sick, you would have no hesitation in taking it to the vet to get treatment huh? And if it had a disease, you would (or your parents would) pay to get it vaccinated right? If you lived in a mud hut in a piss poor country, and rats were eating the few scraps of food you had to live on, and pissing on everything else, I wonder how you would feel about things then?... So don’t dam others who have to live life in the real world.

  • @pippy1994 ..... and yes, I still say you're a kid who likes rats!..... even if you are playing "hide the sausage" with your BF.... Imaginary or not!

  • thaks for sparing that little rattie's life your a good persn

  • Ok, so u caught it ALIVE.... Now what u gonna do with it ??? They Spread Desease

  • they wood be ok but y i dont like them is cos they will get in to all ur chicken feed and then when you have little chicks they will kill them so .get a humane rat trap lol all you got to do when you get one in it is let him go................. to the dog ;)

  • what food wode u pot to catchs a rat

  • they are nothing but intruderz to peoples home...they should go get a fucking job and buy their own house to live in..not mine!!

  • @campbudz Humans are intruders to the environment,. Their native habitat was in Africa. You are totally contradicting yourself, because humans are the ones that caused rats to spread all around the planet, which ultimately makes humans the ultimate invasive species. BTW, they are smarter than human infants and more aware of what's going on, and yet you still support killing them just because they're in your house.

  • I live-catch nuisance chipmunks for relocation to a woodland area because they're wild animals, not vermin. I can't think of anywhere you could relocate a rat where it could survive without passing your problem onto someone else.

Poison is inhumane and is likely to result in a dead rat hidden in the wall stinking up your house. A standard rat snap-trap is relatively humane because it's quick. It not only eliminates the rat but eliminates hundreds of potential offspring from that rat.

  • @markhinr We need similar traps in 3rd world countries, don't we?

  • now, soak the trap in water for 10 minutes

  • Cool so this rat traps keeps the rats alive so you can shoot them through the cage with an air pistol?

  • i use the same trap to catch them alive, then torture

  • why not to kill it?

  • rats r vermit i have sum down by my chickens and i trap them and kill them or i shoot them with a 22 cal air rifle straght in the head and than wee burn the bastard

  • the glue traps are freaking terrible

  • @LemurMan2008 first time I saw a mouse in a glue trap suffering I tried to pull it off. BIG mistake, ripped his hide off, 1/2 of his skin was on the trap. i was traumatized for a minute or two.

  • If there is no choice but to get rid of them there still should be a humane way to do it. Most people that use cruel traps in these videos are not farmers or food businesses.

  • We live near a huge field so we have to deal with field mice all the time. My mom doesn't think twice about killing them, but lately I've had second thoughts about it because mice are creatures too. Full of disease they may be, but they want life just as much as you so I've been thinking it would be better to trap one like this and then release it somewhere where we know we won't ever see it again.

  • Nice trapping. Is this a havahart brand trap?

  • lol, this is 2009 not the 19th century....

  • i have that exact same trap, its the best one by far that i have came across, make sure wheter you kill the dirty bastard or release him in a park to piss and shit on the grass where people sit, that you washthe cage with bleach or anti bac fluids with a hose, it wont stop the rats coming in future and if some kid touches the trap whn nothings in it, at least the chances of them getting sick is greatly reduced.

  • Rats are cute. I dont care if they are wild or not. I have a humane trap, and I just let them go a block or two away from my house.

  • i light mine on fire

  • and I'm sure you masturbate while watching it scream in agony until it dies. I pray to God the same thing happens to you someday.

  • i masturbate and bust all over your face

  • I hope somebody lights you on fire.

  • im gonna give your mom crabs

  • How? What a retard. When I was a teenager I was alot smarter than you. Are you on drugs. What the hell is wrong with your generation.

  • what the hell is wrong with your generation is your gay old generation mad because my generation is more urban and technical

  • Comment removed

  • your generation sucks my generation's dick

  • Hahaha what a stupid comment, which proves my point.

  • your moms stupid comment makes no sense

  • @tinygangster66 Dude thats like saying the 1980's SUCKED THEY JUST COPIED FROM US!

  • @WinterHaven Well if you live a block or two from me, they are dead. I bait these mofos with warfarin. Bleed out their mouth and ears and eyes and anus' Painful awful death. You would be better off killing them humanely yourself, than putting them on someone else's door step. Plus they are territorial, a block or two is an inconvenience to them that is all, they will go straight "home".

  • I feel icky when I see dead rats, so if its outside the house, I don't care. If its inside, then I set an anti-death trap, then toss the live sucker into my neighbor's yard ^^. Whats that in your cage, a ferret? I hope that wasn't in your house :S

  • yes kill all rats

  • how is this trap inhumane?

It's pretty much like a usual caged rat.

I fail too see, what's so torturous about this.

  • flashpro62

Read the title again more closely...

  • There's no need to choose between either torturing rats or fighting for their right to live. There's a middle ground: just kill them quickly and humanely and move on with your life.

  • I have the same view actually. I worded it badly. I'm too pragmatic to claim that it's always wrong to kill a rat. Sanitation and sealing is by far the best method of rodent control, but it's acceptable to use traps in conjunction. By respect, I meant granting it at least a quick death by using conventional snap traps, and never glue traps.

  • That's fair. I often do feel sorry for the rat that gets caught, but I know that I have to remove them for the health and safety of my family and pets, so I have to do it.

  • I have two pet rats, and I can tell you that they are about the most misunderstood animals on Earth. The level of hate, sadism, cruelty, and prejudice that the kids on this board have spewed is truly amazing and disgusting.

Not to mention that the only way a rat poses a direct threat to your health is if you consume its urine or feces. Keep your food sealed and respect wildlife.

  • Great, give me your address and we will send you the rats we catch here, anywhere from 20 to 100 a year. But sometimes my dog gets to them first, and they do die a quick and painless death.

  • EchosFromaBlankMind

Note my earlier comment where I said I essentially have no problem with rat traps. Also, wtf kind of sty do you live in?

  • Its not a sty LOL!!!, We live in a rural marsh area with bins that holds bags of seeds and feed for livestock. So needless to say, when we flood the fields and winter creeps in, the rats tend to come in for scraps and to get warm. So its an ongoing battle. We find them under the boats that are turned over (17 of them) and any other place they can hide. My dog loves to get them, but they are pretty fast. So as you can see no love lost there!

  • you will rapidly find that when you clean your home you will have far less than the hundred or so rats you are getting now. A good clean and you will be down to the three or four we get.

  • I think you misunderstand our situation. We do not have a major rat issue in our home. We live in a rural area next to water and have barns and workshops, lots of areas for the rats to make a home. Thank you for your concern and your advice relating to cleanliness, though it was not relevent to our situation. We have a dog and also use electronic trap along with spring traps to maintain the poulation. I found the best way is with poison, but do not currently use it due to the dogs that are here.

  • @chris42999

at the places i've lived that had rats, it was a neighbor who wasn't cleaning their house, garage, etc. here, it's a neighbor with a collapsing fence encased in ivy. there's really not much you can do about shitty neighbors. the worst are the ones who refuse to clean up and then poison them, so you get to clean up their dead rats, hopefully before any pets or raptors get to them :(

  • I agree, I rescued a wild rat, that was sitting on my porch starving. It has lived as my pet for 2 yrs now and is healthy and tame. Not all rats have diseases, but the money hungry exterminators just create fear in people just to sell their products.

  • @trykozko yea haha and then when they sneak into your house and piss and poop all over your food and stuff.

  • @trykozko yea haha and then when they sneak into your house and piss and poop all over your food and stuff.

  • @Temptress869 why would you leave your food lying around in the first place?

  • @pippy1994 I eat a lot of fruit that goes in a fruit bowl on the kitchen counter.

  • @Temptress869 Put it in the fridge, problem solved.

  • @pippy1994 Doesnt go in the fridge, some fruit actually goes bad when cold. And you could also not live in a gross mouse/ rat infested home and live they way you wish...

  • @trykozko Your point is well taken and, yes, many of the comments are disgusting and immature, but the video isn't about trapping pet rats. There are places where free roaming (not pet) rats multiply out of control and are a very serious health hazard.

  • @trykozko I really dont see how you like those little shitbags

  • @trykozko Hm... Since you put it that way, I guess it's up to me to kill every single rat I see. Until the city is completely free of rats, and mouse. And hopefully they don't dare enter the city again.

  • @trykozko on the outside you see a cute face, on the inside its carrying diseases and is a pest to society. DUMBASS

  • @GoPlayMW2OrSomething and what are we? really?? i find that after everything we do to each other in racism and prejudice that we as a society can now cancel out animals, we too can carry disease and our feaces and urine isnt very healthy either! far out, your so narrow minded, did u stop to think that rats are cleaning our mess up? that we also are major pests, i can bet ur arse that, that rat isnt planning to destroy the earth wif consumerism and over use of natural resources, now is it?

  • @TheGBlade god your such a dumbshit......... cry please

  • @GoPlayMW2OrSomething if im a dumbshit then eistin was a retard ^^

  • @TheGBlade einstein was a retard you retard

  • @GoPlayMW2OrSomething wow, your vocabuary amazes me! wonderful expression, excellent response, cant wait to see you in politics! (Reporter: why are the laws changed? You: Because WE SAID SO!)

i hope you realise im speaking in a sub english called sarcasim, but still keep keep up the good work, the trolling, the supidity and heres another thing, if rats were so dangerious, why am i and my family not dead? we live with them, if ur not a dumbshit, you wont eat there excrement!

  • @TheGBlade My vocabulary sucks?

    Words you spelled wrong :

Einstein, sarcasm, stupidity, realize, dangerous, your, here's. I would get started studying for your english final right now.

  • @GoPlayMW2OrSomething Wonderful I wondered when you would pick up on that you insensitive bastard, ever stop to wonder that maybe I have dyslexia, I chose to leave the shit wrong for that reason, and also because it is the internet, I am so glad once again, that your reply has made me smile, but far from the fact of my original reply, since that you now have nothing to say you are now attacking my spelling & grammar! YAY! you're a smart one ^^

  • @TheGBlade hahahaha you have dyslexia, what a loser

  • @GoPlayMW2OrSomething u mad bra :D

  • @TheGBlade hey your the one writing paragraphs

  • @GoPlayMW2OrSomething and the ignorant one ^^

  • @TheGBlade k

  • why are you people so violent to rats what did they do to you they just want to live there lifes like the rest of us

  • @joeyx4x so does cancer theirs a reason they call them rodents dumb ass

  • @thugishrugishbone "Rodent" comes from the Latin word "rodere," which I believe means "gnaw." In modern times, it's used as a classification on the biological taxonomy system. They're not called rodents because they hurt people.

Also, cancer is not an organism or a virus, it's a mutation. I'm pretty sure of this. If you had used the flu as an example, that would have made more sense.

  • @joeyx4x They can spread disease and can kill many people..

  • @awsaludares So can humans. For instance, humans can spread chicken pox, smallpox, molluscum pox, AIDS, HIV, lice (not a disease, but spread disease), Chlamydia, herpes, measles, hepatitis, typhus, E. Coli Justinian Plague, just to name a few. Humans spread more disease than rats. Rats cannot bathe like humans, but if humans couldn't bathe like we do today, we'd be the dirtiest animals on the planet.

  • put some corn in a bucket with a piece of wood as a ramp into it , they jump in and cant get out. (if u want to be humane) works very well too

  • so cute. lol.

  • BeakyRed, you are retarded and I'm glad I never have to see you and I feel sorry for everyone that does.

  • BeakyRed, you are retarded and I'm glad I never have to see you and I feel sorry for everyone that does.

  • by the way, the problem with these traps, if you dont free them soon after they are caught, they start to panic and stress themselves out, and that stress can kill them real quick so its not very humane if you catch it while your at work

  • i agree, set the little fucker on fire

  • Much better then hurting it. I like that a lot better.

  • GOOD LAW,for all the tree huggers

  • :L hahah lil shit do it to all of um

  • or i could just squish the little sh!t with my old faithful trap! HA

  • Yes... i'm going to sit a few of these around my home. Just kill the bitch!

  • I can see what I can use that trap for ... to keep the bugger in place while I BLAST IT AWAY WITH A SHOTGUN!

  • Still, they're just so defenseless and deserve to be treated like normal human beings

  • Do owls listen when you explain that to them? They are low on the food chain for a reason, nature WANTS it that way. They are not humans, if you had a stroke & could not move, they would start eating you alive, it's not conjecture, it happened to an elderly man and was in the newspaper. He lost most of his toes. Animals are not people.

  • it is a SCIENTIFIC FACT THAT WE ARE ANIMALS!

  • <-----lol this guy's retarded

  • rats dont bite retard!!!

  • rats do bite when you have them cornered.

  • That's what you should. What EVERYONE should do. Catch in one of those kinds of cages, then set it free a mile or 2 away from your house.

  • Using cages instead of traps is inconsiderate because taking them somewhere and letting them out just gives someone the problem of having to kill the rat when it invades their home.

  • put ur hand in a life trap its fun u SHOULD TRY IT!!!!

  • ok i have 3 i wont mind

  • cool!

  • how evil are people here! Why would you want these poor creatures to die? Would you do the same thing to a cat, dog, or even a human? They all have feelings.

  • thank u for having commen since

  • you people sicken me......jeez if you couldnt see a rat die how are you supposed to cope when your husband/wife dies?

  • well......u can choose if u kill a rat or not u cant choose if ur wife/husband dies?

  • Yes and some cats and dogs have diseases as well , rabies, cats can transmit toxmoplosmosis, but we don't go around killing all stray cats and dogs do we? Not all rats have diseases. Some very healthy rats are being killed and it's not fair.

  • my cousin has a racoon cage kinda like that but gigger

  • what do you do with it after catching it?

  • lol, this is more like ratmane not humane

  • i thought rats can fit through a hole the size of a dime?

  • no, that's mice you're thinking of

  • That rat looks lonely :(

  • if he used a rat trap it wouldnt be lonley

  • If only everyone would try to catch a rat this way and release it.

  • guarda che musetto caruccio . . . prendilo come animale domestico :3

  • That's a great idea! Now you can put it in the microwave!

  • Nice video Chris . Have you got a good recipe you can reccomend?
