  • Why are there so many white kids in a hip hop club?

  • there is no such thing as homophobia

that ain't nothing but a cop out for the homosexual man to have the hetrosexual man think on the level of a bisexual. Straight Bullshit.

  • @thamasstamind um...what?

  • HAIL SATAN

    666

    JESUS IS DEAD

  • I've never realised homophobia in rap, the term "faggot" i usually used to diss somebody because obviously nobody wants to be called gay it's not really you are talking about killing gay people. And that one girl needs to chill and laugh at stuff and not take every thing seriously.....

  • @nitsua720 when people are on the abused side of opposition and hear those words do you really think they're gonna laugh? when you hear that word and KNOW it's a hate word and some pathetic rapper with NO skills gets on a mic to attack others with their music doesn't make it any respectable at all. they need to learn how to write music with real meaning instead of using insults and rapping about sexist and criminal bullshit. if i wrote a song and used nigger as an insult..it's STILL racist. -.-

  • people wouldn't get a very positive response if they wrote a song full of racist slurs, same shit if it's homophobic lyrics. i don't know how anybody can try to say it's different. it isn't. people can't try giving hate words a different meaning just cuz it isn't in a context towards gays (and most of the time like eminem's songs..it is) i dont care if theyre homophobic or not. people get offended, some people do get hurt. tha'ts the point. you dont need to be a genius to get it.

  • these student dont know how to connect sentences LOL

  • For a Hip-Hop Alliance club, they have an extremely limited grasp of Hip-Hop culture. The ignorance in the statements made by these students, indicates a staggering lack of knowledge. Contrary to popular Western belief, you cannot understand something while being completely objective, and without understanding, criticisms hold little meaning. This discussion would have been far more interesting if a few of the students had a solid understanding of hip-hop history.

  • @PlatinumGeist The majority of those students weren't apart of the club at the time. You need to do research on the group before you speak on it. We've done Hip Hop Culture Weeks with Chuck D and others as the keynote speaker. We've had concert featuring the newest talent in Rap. I could go on and on about the club.

But as for the discussion itself, you can understand something with being objective. That's how I lived my life. I believe that you can't learn anything already having a judgment.

  • @DADDYMACKOFNYC

If no one is informed on a subject, and a group of people share uniformed opinions about said subject, none of them actually learn about the subject. All they learn is each other's thought process, but nothing of the actual subject. They need a foundation of knowledge, and/or an actively participating informed mediator to provide knowledge, in order for them to learn something. No such thing was evident. Merely a group students pretending to know something they do not.

  • @PlatinumGeist How do you learn anything by not being open-minded? That's the problem with Western society. When we do discussions, anyone can come in, speak on something and learn something. That's the point of our discussions. How can one have a solid understanding of something if cats don't give them a chance?

  • I can't stand rich kids!!!

  • Is there anyone who will stand up for Jesus? The term close minded is a label that seems to be the blank to cover do what you want to do. As if there are no right and wrong. God made man and women as two different person made for each other. Just think if there was no order to things you or I may not be here. Because Adam and Eve may have not have gotten together to make us. People think that loving someone letting them do what they want.

  • @ThetruthEc Actually Jesus' feelings toward homosecuality is never brought up in the Bible, wsee that Jesus' teachings don't necessarily match up with the Old Testament's tyranical view of things just look at the differin feelings on violence, of any kind.

  • its a crying shame because between brothers dyin and rottin in jail, its no excuse...they jus wana be on some b.s. it aint a phobia its like pride and prejudice, the hood dont respect fags only in places where peeps so closed minded and ignorant of daily realities find this subject appealing, where bein a rebel or accepted is ur only options never bein tru to urself or ur sex,if u were supposed to bang dicks u'd be a bitch from birth, when u express acceptance u blasphemin, all relegions nature etc.

  • you sound like a bitch, anyway.

  • @YouDickwod look at ur name what do u sound like prolly what u like, accept it like a man or live in denial 99% of the problem... i got more knowledge in my left nut then u got in ur brain, prolly more common sense too,get metaphysical talk philosophy open that calcified pineal gland, peep my favorites including the music learn somethin about life...

  • I learned the word Cracker. The white farmer used to whip their animals, Black farmers spoke to their animals. Blacks knew from personal experience what the crack of whip did to a body. Knowing this the Black man never used a whip on his animals to punish them. The Blacks still feels the whip no matter how long thev live; If a Black man knows the lash of a whip why then does he use that whip on Gay Americans, practicing homophobia in the Rap Culture?

  • It's mainly psychological. Can someone tell this bitch in the yellow scarf that she's elitist as fuck? It's fucking annoying me. What happens in many of these communities can not be understood through "logic" only through experience. In terms of ethnocentrism, Jamaicans have the fucking right to be where they are. No1 is talking about the econ. conditions that prevents jamaica from acquiring wealth or education. Fuck you bitch...its horrible for Jamaicans and i'm not jamaican.

  • It's called ethnocentrism; when a person believes their culture is superior to another. These elitist bitches think they are the absolute truth. They fail to realize the delicacies of truth or its many shades. They don't know what its like for a poor black person to be "kind and vulnerable" in the hood. Until they get their asses whooped everyday for no apparent reason, they can't make judgment. They don't stop to think that this homophobia is a method of survival for blk ppl in many comm.

  • rappers aren't the only ones who are against gays. You guys should do a whole lesson on the people who protest the funerals of gays...its not rappers. its religious leaders.

  • @EmmyLuxeMakeUpInc Westboro, being one of them. Bunch of morons that shame the meaning of God.

  • boy white people are funny. im glad i wasnt in this class. i would have been schooling these mfs. its funny how people see the inside on the outside. its jaded. its straight up faded. listening to young white girls try and dissect an oppressed culture. . .makes me laugh so hard i shit my pants. AS IF WHITE PEOPLE AND EVERY OTHER RACES DONT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH HOMOPHOBIA..THE MILITARY...THE CHURCH... LOOK AT WHO IS AT THE FRONT OF THE ANTI-GAY RALLIES...YOU WONT SEE ONE RAPPER.

  • so true blks jus got the balls to discuss it... its the hypocrisy of america, say 1 thing but dont ask dont tell these craccers still be fuckin animals they aint never tryna talk about that tho, they dont even wana own up to the trillions they made during the time of slavery, who knows how much that shits worth now but they laugh off reparations, expose that downlow shit then u solve std epidemics, they the last to come out and do the most harm,go be gay, stop giving my shawtys aids, pretendin

  • your comment's the only one that makes sense on here. honestly, thank you. for fuck's sake...(this is to yungvet.) but, i think they're trying to seek knowledge....which is great. they just...go about it the wrong way? er...something. im tired. but you're 100% right

  • This is why when black people usually don't speak when issues of race comes up - especially not when they're the only black person. My white boyfriend just realized that fact after I told him of a class with only a few white people trying to rationalize an experience they never had.

  • they should hav a tlk like this in my school...they never do stuff like this

  • I think you misrepresented The Boondocks it's a satire and quite a good one to and you did not put homophobia in the hip-hop in a historical conext at all. you can do alot better than this

  • I don't think we misrepresented the Boondocks. We used it as one of our starting points. I don't think the show literally, but I do think it is a great look into our world today. Some people do think about various things as they are presented in the Boondocks.

  • Also, our goal was to talk about Homophobia today. It was not our goal to put it in a historical context. Doing that would bore people in my opinion. I believe it keeping serious issues like this relevant to today to get discussion and action going. The discussion is only a hour long.

I think we did a great job in achieving our goal. This is one of our best discussions. Everyone has their own way to discuss things. This is ours.

  • I still think that the group which did make some good points came to the general conclusion that the Boondocks was Homophobic. granted in an hour long discussion it would be difficult to put into historical context but not impossible maybe you should have produced something short to prep your group along with the Boondocks 2 episodes. nothing going on today happend without a history or in isolation. I watched the series after watching your group discussion & found it to be g8 to

  • I thank you for your insight, but I don't think they came to the conclusion that the Boondocks was Homophobic. In another discussion, I showed the S-Word ep. and no one came to a conclusion that it was racist.

  • @DADDYMACKOFNYC When do they discuss Boondocks?

  • @larsreal9 Sorry I forget. I don't have headphones right now. :-(

  • @larsreal9 I agree but at 9:25 ...someone mentioned GANGSTALICIOUS

  • while the African gay has an uneasy and difficult time in the African diaspora it is mostly tolerated in some places in the african diaspora intergrated to different degres

  • Homophobia is utter nonsense.Instead of going forward end rid the world of all this filth and anger "bored losers" always have to target a group off people that are different.I am a nice person but Fuck all homophoboes and shameful trash that thinks he is more deserving just because he fucks women.
