  • I think I saw what looked like shoe strings to cooks this. This is not Puerto Rican cooking, they have it all wrong. As long a you enjoy them enjoy, just stop using the Puerto Rican name for them.

  • Did they tie these up whith shoe laces? That's disgusting!

And for Christ sake, clean the damn stove before you video yourselves folding "tamales" in the filth.

  • Wu Tang is for the children! :D

  • You guys are great!

  • @okupat This video really isn't intelligable but I have to say that in Puerto Rico we have "Guanime" (Taino Indian Word) which is a Tamal made of Corn meal wrapped in banana leaf. It is either made plain or with codfish (bacalo) filling. This was a food that the Indigenous people from Puerto Rico ate and it was a main staple for the Jibaros (peasants) since it was cheap to purchase and make. The Guanime is not as popular now as it was back then but it is still made and eaten in Puerto Rico.

  • "In Puerto Rico there is the "guanime." It is made with yellow corn meal, coconut milk and a pinch of sugar, wrapped in a banana leaf, and boiled. There is no stuffing. Similar to the stuffed tamal are pasteles, but pasteles are not made with cornmeal masa, but with other locally obtained ingredients, such as plantain, cassava/yuca, and so on." WIKI
