But look who he's playing with this year...all over rated and over payed players. Ok...no more sloppy seconds, just the second "C" Curse. I hated the moves at first then I started to think about it. I am a huge Kovy fan but think about it Cammi younger almost as skilled and plays with as much heart as Saku. Gomez is overpaid but guys want to play with him. Gionta - Gomez know each other inside and out during their Jersey days unstoppable. Only a few seasons removed. The bigger and more skilled Defense, teams beg for puck moving d-men and we have two.

Yes, it's good when you put it that way. But, think of Higgins, Komisarek and Koivu. I have to, as a habs fan, not hate Gainey for not signing them, or in Higgins case, trading him.

Gainey thought he had the team to win last year but these guys failed badly. Higgins was traded to get Gomez so his name would bring in UFAs. Kommie wanted an 8 yr deal, we all know BG doesn't make those deals. Is Mike worth 4.5 a yr? Not in my world. In Koivu's case it was just time for a change. One of the longest serving Captains in Team history and no cup to speak of. He is at best a second line centre but in MTL he had to carry the load. Great teammate and person but wrong role.

ok we gotta face it, we never did shit with koivu. our first line being gomez camalleri and gionta is the most talented line we had for a LONG time. spacek is a good defencemen gill i disagree but overall we have to be happy with the work of gainey! i'd like kovy to stay though and play with plecanec and andrei kostitsyn.

the $10 ones do, you have to wait outside the box office a few hours before a game and they are the only tickets not available on the internet or before the day of the game. Its where all the real fans go.
