I have ordered a TurboSIM today, how easy is it to unlock? i have already downgraded my uk 1.1.2 to 1.1.1 jailbreak then upgraded to 1.1.2 so it's unlocked to O2 sim, but i want to use my Orange sim, can't seem to find an tutorials on the net?

You can do the same but in order for turbosim to fake a legit sim (for the network the phone is locked to), you need it to learn the iccid from that sim. the one that comes with the phone is ideal but any at&t sim will do if you no longer have it!

SO to USE the Turbosim hack you still need to JAILBreak and activate iphone. Or do you just put the turbosim in there and it just works?

you need to fake activation still. Its nothing to do with the turbosim, the activation is just the another level of security apple have implemented. if you don't fake activate the phone, you will never be ale to get at the applications, you will be locked out at the emergency call screen.

Duh, its no fake, an thats why I proved the bootloader version from a terminal session on the phone as well as from the Mac's terminal session.

You still have to jailbreak and fake activate the 1.1.2 phone first, but that's nothing to do with the turbosim, thats apples proprietary activation mechanisms. All hacks require jailbreak & fake activation before you can proceed to bypassing the network lock. The reason for making this video was to show that turbosim works with the new bootloader (which is what the 112 OTB phones come with).

No hardware required, you can program the turbosim using the iphone itself, all the tools are linked on the forums.
