Yes, good trick; the only slightly dodgy bit is having to have the pack set up in order beforehand. What if your spectator asks to inspect the cards or to have the pack shuffled before you start? My favourite tricks are always the ones where you can hand the pack to your spectator at the beginning and get them to shuffle, so they know that there's no pre-ordering of the cards going on. Awesome trick though :)

I built the deck and tried to do this. My mind was not connecting the dots fast enough to make it smooth...I am going to try to practice it more but I think it may depend on how someone thinks to whether they can visualize this math and memory in that short of time. It just is making this difficult for me to pull off without looking like a robot that just had his power button pushed and is shutting down :-)

Am I the only person who feels that non magicians should not be revealing material that isn't there's just to get you tube hits? As a professional magician this is insulting as I have created my own effects and do not want to release them because of this.. It hurts me as I have put years of work into what I do and others can just learn it and show it and claim they're magicians... If there is no teaching, there is no learning. As for you, It's great that you come up with original effects! But some people can still be magicians without having to come up with card tricks. True, they won't be as good as David Blaine, but if you're trying to impress family and friends, does it matter?

hello everybody! haha ive got a tip to make it easier (or at least its easier for me) assign a value to each suit: clubs = +0 hearts =+13 spades = +26 diamonds = +39-so king of diamond king = 13 diamonds = 39 so 13 + 39 = 52 so its the 52nd(last) card then subtract one another example 9 of spades 9=9 (duh) spades = 26- 9 +26 = 35 its the 35th card... 6 of hearts 6 = six (derp) hearts = 13 -

6 + 13 = 19 its the 19th card- 7 of clubs 7 = 7 (again derp) clubs = 0 - 7 +0=7 (duh) its the 7th card.

I think this trick is not very practical to perform, because you can't spend too much time thinking, while you are performing it.

It is, however, a very interesting mathematical trick. Pretty cool, when you think about it, that every cardposition in the deck has its own combination of those 6 'rounds'. It is perfectly possible: if you would count all the ways in wich you can choose 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 rounds from 6 rounds, you get 62.

if their card is an even number from the top, you will always need to outjog the first in the first step. this can give you time to do the remaining calculations.  if their card is an odd number from the top, then you will always injog the first card.
