Your opinion about him is well informed, and well reasoned, and hopeful. Unfortunately it's also conservative, not progressive. Obama's nationalistic vision of how society could function is opposed to an organic, progressive, social order.
Maybe you saw him as the cunning beast slayer, tamer of corrupt American animal, but all I see are the bodies left by his missile attacks in the third world, and his jokes about initiating missile attacks. He's part of the beast now, just another cancer cell
what was that again?? i think i see a piece of the pot brownie he just ate in his beard. don't worry I'm sure Obama will help you out with the gay marriage thing buddy....
Great post. Ummm....Uhhhhhh..........ummmmmmm. I especially liked the part about Judo (?). And turn the music (all the way) down - you are likely bothering your parents.

What the fuck was this idiot talking about... and why the fuck is his stupid fucking video over the alotted 10 minutes ? because he's a fucking commie cocksucker lefty stupid fuck....
.....ironically, I just received an email from the Nadar camp asking for exactly $3.00 and I sent it. Being someone who was in retail for a very long time, I know exactly what you mean by it's not that easy, but I just found it ironic that about two minutes after send the $3 I started watching this video!
Oh yea of so little faith. Thou shall be cast out with the McCaininites. Don't sweat it bro, Obama has it in the bag. He is a natural born leader. The USA is so far up shit creek that Obama will certainly have to get his hands dirty, if he tries to make some real improvement. When young boy George killed John Kennedy Jr., certainly part of this was to prevent his eventual run for the presidency. If Obama is the real deal his life will be in danger. If they threaten his family,he may tone it down
i sympathize a lot with the progressive left that likes to hate on obama and democratic party, but deep down i am a realist and agree with what you said here, and you said it very well. even if obama is not the answer, he is a step towards it. but the progressives are just trying to keep him honest, make him the best possible candidate. they're idealistic, but i can't exactly knock them for it.
i think its a big leap to believe in something you cant see - completely agreeing with your argument, i just find it hard to trust in it.
obamas campaign is build on the low approval rating of the current administration, and has been from the start. its the most logical step of promotion/marketing at this point. so either hes sincere, or he is simply giving people what they want(abusing their vulnerability to futile hopes).
the latter is a common political strategy, so its much more probable.
of course, your completely right. someone trying to do good, would have to "tag along" in the beginning to even get a chance.
but its kind of a big leap of faith, that such a person would appear just now.
my worst fear: trust makes blind - which makes obama a risk. because people will be less critical and more trusting towards him. after the current wave of suspicousness, it could be another "post 9/11: we agree - dont question" scenario. and if hes not sincere, thats dangerous of course.
i think you cover some very insightful points. i remember how moved i was by Obama by his keynote address at the last convention, & how hopeful i was when he announced his candidacy. but after Sen. Clinton entered the race, i figured it was all but over for him considering the money and "machine" she had behind her. sure, he surprised us all with ability to raise huge amounts via the internet & small donations. but it was the way he organized "regular folk" in iowa & beyond that convinced me...
...that this was no ordinary candidate. he's not just smart, nuanced & inspirational - he's extremely strategic. like Cenk, i was disheartened by Obama regarding FISA, but now i think he saw it as too big an election liability if he'd acted differently...and the guy has no intention of losing this election. a president isn't a magical cure-all, but can inspire & move the nation. people are just going to have to stay involved, post-election, to help set and keep the right course.
Yes, it's a good point. The game has to be appeased. But like a musician, variations on a theme. Some people are better at it. Some people do great things with it.
We have a real true leader among us. He will lead us into some great things if the nay Sayers will help this man get elected instead of being defeatist pessimist. If you want to lock this thing up. Support him or make a vlog to support him and help get the vote out in the KEY States. Teach and share the ideas that will help us instead of pushing fear and hate to gain a vote for the same old thing. No change is McCain. Stop watching T.V. and get better facts online. Yes We Can!
very realistic and sincere rundown. i don't buy into the whole Obama routine as strongly as you do but feel we have little choice at this stage of the game. we can only sit back and watch the next few months. hopefully the anti-black sentiment doesn't keep him out of the white house because we can't do 4-8 years of a mccain debacle.

Vagueness impresses the vague. Judging by the fact that this guy actually says nothing of substance, it would explain his feelings about Obama.
