Though not smart, I could see what she might've been thinking there. She might've forgotten about the leading player not having any spins left, or perhaps she wanted to do a "just in case" move. Though this version didn't have returning champs, they never had a three way tie for $0, something that happened a few times on the original PYL, which had quite a few crazy finishes that might've not seemed probable on any other game show. Didn't know what they would've done if that ever happened.
This version actually had a three-way $0 tie once, I saw the episode. It was from the first season. The person with the least whammies returned on another show later in the season.
Take the money, 2000 and 3rd place. There would be a remote possibility of the dude getting up to 3 whammys and out of spite passes the rest of the spins to the leader, potentially knocking her out with a whammy on the last spin. I've seen crazier things happen.
Well she was snapped out of the picture nomatter what she did, player 1 already took all her spins and was in first place, and whatever spins player 3 passed wouldve went to player one. Lose a whammy was probly the better bet.
not stupid lots of spins left if she took the money she would still be in third so this way if she gets passed the spins she would be less likely to whammy out
no, she needed to not get another whammy to keep herself in the game. She's stupid and she's probably also the only person to ever choose to lose a whammy.

It was only the first round, losing the wammy was a good choice, should still had more spins and could of ended up with 3 whammys in just the first round, and that could of messed up things for her,so in her case, her choice was good lose the whammy, on another day, taking the money would of been best
This was round 3. Unlike the original PYL, this had first round (spin til u want to stop), then a question round, then another spin round (with earned spins)
Agree, but if the Spins where passed, it would have gbeen a Decent Stategy, but I Would Do it, so I could Purposely get a Whammy... I LIKE TO BE WHAMMIED!!! (Yes, I'm a Slight Moron in that way)

She needed to pass to the lady on the left to get her broke, and then the guy might pass to her.

This bad decision ended up costing her the win, too.

LOL, I know. I got so mad when I saw this episode the first time. I believe she's the only contestant that ever chose the Lose a Whammy on the show.
GSNSmashFan3 1 year ago
@GSNSmashFan3 No, she's not the only contestant to do so, but still...
nlafavore 1 year ago
i second that. lol. there's some game shows that you turn to and ur like, "wtf is going on?"

11 in the earned column for John? How many questions are there in the question round?
therealnick103 4 years ago
I think there are five. The person who answers the question first gets 3 points, so there's a potential for 15 spins.
kolst8406 4 years ago 3
Thanks.
therealnick103 4 years ago
There are four, not five.
reneecmc 3 years ago
No, there are five. There were only four in the original.

If I was Cynthia I would've passed my two remaining spins to Shannon and hope she hits a double whammy.
nexttomarken 4 years ago
Yes, and it was unlikely Shannon would earn 4k in 2 spins even if she didn't hit a whammy.

no stupid. it was the third round. See how there were earned columns and passed columns.
MyNameisB4U 3 years ago
I get that she was on 3 at the time, but losing the whammy would take her out of contention barring a player's elimination.
luigi250 4 years ago
y would u lose a whammy with 1 spin left and eliminate urself from the game? i dont get it

Although Todd didn't outright say anything about Cynthia's decision, he probably thought to himself, "What a dumb move!"

Yeah not the brightest idea when you have NO spins left.
I also agree about the fuzzy noise thing

There was a strange, fuzzy sort of noise right at the end.
