Shows how incredibly important preproduction is. Ive been doing preproduction for nearly a year now on a serious game I'm working on, so I guess thats a good sign. Been putting off starting any proper 3D work until i know 100% what I'm doing, especially planning in the environment and making it work in relation to the story.

Yeah! I felt exactly the same wile doing my first short and I thought exactly the same about my second one (that would be faster because of my gathered experience)
...the thing is I'm already in 4... herrgg 5 and something months of production and I'm actually taking longer to make it.
I'm making a more complex project (with allot of things I didn't do in my first one) so it still feels that I've a completely new set of things to learn :s
Your production triangle theory still applies :)

Oh yeah absolutely. On the next project I'm scaling almost everything down except for one or 2 things. The quality will be the same, just a lot less "stuff."
