for destruction, 1hand, 2hand, archery, is there a difference in the speed of skill ups that depends on the strength of the opponent? for example, a mammoth hitting me will skill up my armor a lot faster than a guy with fists from a brawl would.

the better way is to buy a horse and hit it with healing hands in the left hand it has alot of health but it is still killable

guys, i think if you equip another one-handed weapon and use the "strong attack" with the dual wielded swords it gives you more xp... you can find two swords in this room, so try it and let me know! but i think it's more xp that way... but you HAVE TO attack him while he has health... if he falls on the ground, wait for him to get back up because if he has no health, you gain zero xp

if you wait until the point where you stealth kill the bear, just hack into ralof all you want while sneaking, you can get it to 100 easy :D

you may also do this at high hrothgar with the grey beards. for destruction dual wield a spell plus the equalibrium spell and for sneak just do it while crouching. got sneak to level 100 in 8 min

This works very well with sneak, but you might have to put a perk in sneak for it to work.

there are a couple of NPCs within the world that won't die. They fight back, but a good way of doing the same skill

Just so you guys know, you can reverse the patches for anyone complaining that "he fights back now". If you don't know how to clear hard drive cache, look up a video. It's really simple, and you can use this glitch forever.

you can also do this later on in the game. if you havent done the dark brotherhood yet than you cant do this. you get shadowmere who is invincible. keep hitting him with any weapon you have and train the corresponding skill. its also easier because he doesnt move.

There's also another place to do this for range/destruction. The troll on the way to Ivarsted (or Hrothgar) wont go in the water and regens health stupidly fast...

@golfmanjh or maybe they were not stupid... and just didn't care if they died or were new and didn't know allies don't enjoy being attacked i personally fit into the don't care if i die category the first thing i did when i went into Whiterun was attack people and die respawn and from there i kept going trying to see how many people i killed before the gaurds found and killed me

@bobs5050 It's pretty similar to the last game in the series (Oblivion) which is cheap as chips now if you're thinking of getting it. The controls are fine imo, take some getting used to but they aren't much different from Oblivion. It's a much slower style game than what I reckon you're used to but it's a fantastic game, easy to lose hundreds of hours into!
