  • haha! ”把这些毛笔都扔掉啦!“ You REALLY hate them, don't you? Even though your prices are a few years old, I still thank you for all of your hard work! =)

  • @TheKMCollins Thank you.

I never like those brushes in this set. My vendors call them "garbage brushes." However, for the price of the this box set, how can we ask more?

  • hey my name is joshua hough 2 lol

  • Good. :) Be friends?

  • ALso, another thought, it would be great if we could see you use a simple cheap brush and a rather more suitable brush.

For me, most of my brushes cost only a dollar each.

I have two that cost 40 dollars. in my hands..... as a raw beginner, probably just as a cheaper brush.

    Could you do some examples????

That would be very beneficial. TO see the way it works/bends and the final quality.

You mention ink also.I used some very poor ink but it was grainy but the effect was pleasing! :)

  • When my high school teacher threw away a bad brush to me, it was my best one! I started with average quality tools... Sometimes if I practice absent-mindedly with high quality tools, the result is less satisfied with average tools but with mind focus.

I am still preparing a series of vids for Forbidden City brush sets I got over the last 3 years with writing samples. Thx.

  • At 1:58, that Ink Stone, could you tlel me how much that costs???? That is quite beautiful. Thanks.

  • You may look it up from his e-Bay store and send inquiry to Robert's email address (He has no time for YouTube.) So both of you can save charges.

  • Yes, this is much better.Super work.

I have 7 of Mr Bo's ink stones, two large ornately carved in Green and Red & Cream. Wonderful.I love the sets.Could you state then, how much a fair beginners set costs. Enough for them to start out and get fair results.

I know what you say about the ink stone but a beginner would not lose enthusiasm over this, it would still amke ink.Though I have just bought two adorable 5 inch round bowl stones from Mr Bo and they work a treat and cost about 12 dollars.

  • Another lady customer of Robert, Xiaobai, bought more than two of us. I will persuade her to share her collections later...

I have been lucky to meet Robert "in my neighberhood 5 minutes away"... I bought my first brush hanger 28 years after I started practicing calligraphy... A fair beginner's set, IMHO, should be around $30 (I have a video for this combination) according to Robert's price index.

  • Thank you for sharing ;)

    5 shuriken

  • :) Thanks. I will take a look at your work soon.

  • If you ever need connections to better painting colors (mineral or plant derived) we will be happy to work with Robert. Thx.

  • Thank you for the great info, Sir.
