The game was really made by PF magic the company that made Dogz 1-5

and Catz1-5 (Petz) the other company publish the game and PF magic was own by Ubisoft Entertainment so it relates to rayman.

@rejcga15 Very true! They also made PaTaank! on the 3DO, some totally weird take on pinball that has pretty much nothing to do with pinball... would've been cool if the framerate wasn't so horrible. I thought Ballz was pretty good once I learned the moves, and the fact that gameplay was actually 3D and not just a 2D fighter with "3D" graphics always intrigued me. The Genesis version didn't have a fancy Mode 7 floor of the SNES, but the gameplay was a lot better. There was also a 3DO version.

0:28 Sonic the Fighters is actually a good game and I am a little disturbed you put it with all the cheap knockoffs.

Sonic the Fighters is not just a cheap knockoff of Virtua Fighter or Fighting Vipers like some people want to make it out to be. The strategies are very different so you most approach the game in an entirely different way. It had a unique chase down and combo system that made the game a lot faster and take up more of the field than any other game at the time.

To be honest with u, I actually didn't mind this game too much. The soundtrack was pretty cool, and I had the player's guide so I was able to learn all of the special moves. But that's just my personal opinion, tho.
