@georgebestfan7 your a man united fan so your obviously going to be biased but the cross that led to Rooneys goal deflected and it took the pace of the ball so it was set up perfectly for him.Plus Kompany slipped and he had nobody putting any pressure on him unlike Rivaldos goal.Plus Rooneys goal come of the bottom of his shin while Rivaldo was perfect technique for both the chest and the overhead kick.

Also Rivaldos was more important and overall twice as good.

Rooneys goal was not taken straight from a cross, it was a deflection off Zabeleta's back. That's why it sat up so nicely for him. Rivaldo carved this goal out of nothing. Rooney's goal was more arcade game, rivaldo's was artwork, capping a hat trick.

In that season Barcelona, thanks to this goal, finished the league at 4th position and qualified to participate in UEFA league. I watched this goal live. It was scored in the last minute of the match, was one of the best goals in football history in my opinion. A completely conscious, well planned bicycle, despite all the tension in the match.. If it ended as a draw they would not be qualified. I really feel lucky to see all this action live!
