what are you using for ss "straps" ? all i could find was some ss dryer hose clamps. the are too thin i believe and are getting too hot. any suggestions would be appreciated. I was thinking of using the handles off of some ss cookware (camping utensils) from wal-mart. what do you think?
why are we spending all this time watching you screw nylon nuts onto you project? 6 minutes of watching you play with nuts and bolts. and no i did not watch, that is what fast forward it for.
Its best to have two individual cells in two seperate baths. Or have one bath that is isolated from the other side. But generally two cells splitting the voltage is more efficient in terms of total HHO output. If you have a SS container you can add more electrolyte and just crank up output.
go to mcmaster dott com for the nylon threaded rods, nuts, etc; and yes you need to use the ss bolts & washers. Just google "smack booster pdf" and it has all the info you need - even a parts list = a good cell to learn & start off with.
However if you want a high producing cell, look up dry cells like higherpoweredh20 has in his vids = they are great!
thank you for all the great videos and great info. where did you buy the nylon roads? and do i have to use stainless steel nuts and washers for the booster? thank you very much and keep up the good work.
Important safety tip learned from experience(minor explosion) On the straps thru the cap,put the bolt thru the strap then a nut, tighten, then put the bolt thru the cap, unthreaded hole then a nut on outside of cap, tighten, then wire leads then a nut and tighten.Otherwise after the first time the pvc heats up your straps will become loose an then you will get a spark in the area where there is gas then an explosion.rubber washers inside and out of the hole in the cap to seal. Be Safe and Have Fun!
Yea I dont want any unexpected explosions - tho blowing stuff up is cool sometimes.
;)
Perhaps if I used two SS lock washers, one on each side of the bolt w/ the end cap in between that would take the "play" out when the cell gets hot? I didnt want to use rubber washers cause I didnt want any chance of them corroding in the electrolyte. Ummm... something to consider.
BTW any reason to not thread the hole in the end cap? Just curious.
I tightened the nut and bolt on the strap first therefore could no longer turn the bolt to thread into the cap. The important point is to eliminate loose connections in the gaseous area.Under the water loose connections may affect performance more than safety. Lock washers should do the trick. I will go subscribe now. Have Fun

Hey man is it more efficent to have one cell running 20 amps or two cells in parallel spilling that power?

Be sure to subscribe to see when I run the cell.

OHHHH I see now what your talking about (sometimes I am a bit hard headed). Matter of fact I will make sure I make that change to my cell.
Thanks for the safety tip.

Good work man I can not wait to see this up and running and see what number you can get out of it All the Best ;)

Yea I am really curious to see it run too. Check back again cause I will post a vid when that happens.
BTW I noticed you are working on hydrogen stuff too - gonna check out your vids later.
Keep up the good work.

BTW if you get tired of the first few minutes, go to 5:44 then watch the rest, it goes a lot faster from there.
