You want to scan for multiple threats, WHILE still keeping the most recent downed threat in your peripheral. Hence why if you watch some of the other vids that are all about reloads, they stress working in your "workspace". Its all about peripheral.

They also give you a nice tip to increase your peripheral by tilting your head slightly down because it increases your field of view.

Good stuff.. You should buy the DVD's!

I cant tell if thats an M&p or a H&k, I am almost certain its an M&p, you can buy those with or without a thumb safety.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I don't have the magpul dynamic handgun dvd, so I don't know why the dude with the beard scans his 9 and 3 o'clock almost immediately after sending the 4th round. What's the reason for not following through on your 12 before scanning the periphery? I'm sure theres a school of thought to it. Do you know?

@kingofshrimp After the shooter has suppressed the target, they check there surroundings for any other threats. Basically teaching the shooter to keep their head on a swivel in a chaotic environment. You never know how many threats are out there. Most shooter courses teach to check your surroundings for any oncoming threats. You are right in the fact to make sure the target is eliminated or suppressed before moving on.

@kingofshrimp In self defense class or "tactical classes" the theory is if there is one there is two etc..... Also in a high stress situation you will probably have an SNS activation therefor your vision, hearing will be reduced. You will have tunnel vision, so practice scanning and assessing for other targets/threats, witness etc.......
