i've been seeing B.B live for years. more then a dozen times. i had the pleasure of meeting him once. i think if someone came to him and said "we're gonna knight you BB" his responce would be something like "why do i need to be a knight when im already king?...king of the blues"...seems like a step down.

If B.B King was British he would have ended up with an MBE, CBE and maybe a Knighthood for his dedication and undieing enthusiasm for the music, that due to B.B Kings efforts - and people like him - has become native to the country that shaped him and that he developed in, Shame on you USA.
What in the world are you talking about? Shame on the USA for what, not having knighthood bestowed on people? BB hardly lacks for appreciation or accolades in the United States. Odd comment, to say the least.
uhhhhhh....what? One more reason the U.S. is the best country in the world. Even with all our flaws. I'm pretty sure blues was created in the U.S.A. no-where near Europe.

Have seen him perform 3 times now and it's always a fantastic performance. His stories are as entertaining as his music.
