  • The transcribe audio for this is hilariously awful! -"In both houses, although who brought these things are going, a in that Obama still opening analyses"

  • August Turak talks of the red hot cannonball of zen. Is his karma missing?

Or was there a bell that tolls for thee?

  • i dont think this video links atall to any religiouse debate its more about a practice in specific meditation, sen buddists can controll their adrenolin and cortisol, aswell as all negative functions of agression that we cannot. and` what the bleep do we know` the documentary says they can change the properties of water by blessing it O.o

  • does this zen stuff work.

    old geezer doesn't seem enlightened.

he has been meditating for 50 years still nothing happened.

  • @BluePittbull666 you have to understand what enluightenment is, as a practicionar of bujinkan martial arts i have had enough to see that i belive in chi, without it i dont think i culd punch through a breeze block :p but shaolin monks balancing their abdomin on the tip of a spear and zen buddists controling their adrenolin cortisol and meditating outside in the winter with no fear are pretty damn impressive .

  • @BluePittbull666

"Before enlightenment: Chop wood. Carry water. After enlightenment: Chop wood. Carry water."

Hence why he may not seem like what you might have expected an enlightened should seem.

  • this old man is going to live to 90, at least! he is so healthy

  • If you have to read a book I would try The Three Pillars of Zen by Philip Kapleau... and remember Zen is a practice.

  • I've been practicing zazen and reading a couple books. Zen Mind beginners mind and Zen Flesh Zen Bones. But I'm not understanding a lot of it. SOme of it is really mind boggling. Like everything arises out of emptiness and so when we see something it exists, yet at the same time there is no one to see it and nothing exists. Someone help me here.

  • but Zen is 1 of 8 differnet buddism religions

  • @ZZaiBoT2011 Buddhism is a philosophy not a religion.

  • @Yoshi17111 In Asia, there's no strict separation between philosophy and religion (look at Taoism, Confucianism, etc.) - the Buddha created a monastic order, a Sangha, that clearly show he intended to create something more than just a philosophy; but a way of living everyone can follow. A religion, a philosophy, a way of life. If you're not 100% sure about something, why talk about it?

  • I beleave on (Zen)buddhism like the Samurais

  • Jesus was a Buddist, respect it!

  • Sweet man!

Thank you for your translation of the Shobogenzo.

  • actually Buddhism only pre-dates Christianity by ~500 years.

  • Is "nothing" sacred? ... To a Zen Buddhist it is. Sit quietly, breathe with purpose, and be fully "awake" to yourself and your surroundings... Nothing more. So simple. Gassho.

  • @SpeakZen

its not that simple, meditation is one of the hardest things to do.

its not simple breathing method, its not a way to solve your problems in life.

to meditate, you already have to be away from your life problems.

  • Whoever said Buddhism is about worshipping an idol or a person has never read any Buddhist scripts, at all. Because, it's pretty regularly written, "do not worship Buddha." Alot of the stories in the Bible were in Buddhism before the Bible was ever written, but they don't go around bashing Christianity as being false at all. Especially without even knowing the first thing about what it is.

  • @TEthePres2006

"Student: But why shouldn't we worship Buddhas and bodhisattvas?

Buddha is Sanskrit for what you call aware, miraculously aware. Responding, arching your brows blinking your eyes, moving your hands and feet, its all your miraculously aware nature. And this nature is the mind. And the mind is the Buddha. And the Buddha is the path. And the path is Zen."

  • @TEthePres2006

"But the word Zen is one that remains a puzzle to both mortals and sages. Seeing your nature is Zen. Unless you see your nature, it's not Zen. Even if you can explain thousands of sutras and shastras, unless you see your own nature yours is the teaching of a mortal"

  • goooood stuff

  • At first I was happy to see so many religious debates on Youtube. I figured a world-wide discussion on religion could yield interesting results. Unfortunately, few bother to listen to each other online. Everyone sees each other as dark, shadowy, misinformed strangers. Every religion has something to offer. Try and stay informed. If you think Buddhism is outdated or idol-worshiping, you've never done a google's search worth of research on it. Put down the cheetoes and back away from the computer

  • @MichaelGoreeMusic

haha Cheetos...aint had them in a while man LOL

  • @sessehomaru99

Did I ever mention Zen Buddhism? (Zen is the deep state of concentration in meditation). I'm speaking of base-line Buddhism; worshipping a human for his teachings.

  • @AdmiralZhao007 I don't worship the buddha. He's a good teacher. I don't worship my zen teacher, or my math professor. ; )

  • @sessehomaru99

No, it isn't about worshipping idols. It's about worshipping one idol.

    happy now?

  • This guy rocks!

  • This man is such a boss.

  • cute little muthafucka

  • He is so gentil and peaceful in his voice. Love Buddhism

  • 84 ?!?!? I was like WOW

  • Don't get stuck on any one path. Don't get stuck on any one system. Be completely in this moment and take the best path for that moment. Don't look at anything from a single point of perspective. All truths are but half truths. All contradictions can be reconciled on some level. When light fills a room, it fills it completely and is not limited to only one part of the room. Light is available to everyone and not just one school of thought or one religious belief system.

  • Buddha thinks that in order to achieve enlightenment. One has to first have a peaceful head(mind). That leads to meditation and no killing etc. But zen is not the goal. It's a step toward the goal of seeing the altimate truth of life and universe.

  • 84 and he barely has wrinkles

  • Zen priests are the toughest people on earth and some of the most diciplined I have ever met. Their way of seeking the ulitimate truth goes through endless pain and almost tourture like situations when sitting in hours and hours and hours in the meditation stance and when they kill all aspects of the mind. 10/10. I would almost call all other atempts like a walk in the park compared to zen. Only a few can handle the pain and a mind which will be dissolved.

  • to the person who said if we allpractised buddha then we wud all be just sittin together, well isnt that more preferable than bein at war with one another!

  • The religion of the future will be the worship of Government. Be governed now.

  • Buddhism has given us Richard Gere and the Viet Cong, probably including many who worked as torturers at the Hanoi Hilton. So much for non-violence.

  • @dcspaced - Christian faith gave us Hitler and Stalin. Now sit down and hush.

  • @dcspaced And science has given us the atomic bomb, ergo science is bad?

    Not the best logic there.

  • @dcspaced compared to what christianity, islam and judaism has dont buddhism doesnt compare to the violence, murder, incest and rape of those books.

i believe those religions take the retard cake

  • @dcspaced crusades, witch burning, boy raping all that jazz. people can twist any religion to suit any situation. try to look past the ~3% of religious fanatics and realize that most people are decent when given the chance. even if you don't believe in the Buddhist religion, Buddhist philosophy has much to teach, as do all religions.

hate and fear will lead you to the dark side :P

  • Viet Cong was a communist guerilla force in Vietnam, and had nothing to do with Buddhism. Hate anger and violence are the results of war and a detatched mind. Buddhism is the cure to anger, hate and desire. Please research before posting ridiculous statements.

  • I ment attatched mínd.

  • I recommend reading Nishijima's book "Three Philosophies & One Reality". It explains the "Four Noble Truths of Buddhism" very well. If you read it, you may come to realize that Buddhism is not as negative and world denying as you might be thinking. In fact, saying that the opposites (Nishijima calls them idealism & materialism) can be reconciled through the practice of zazen makes perfectly sense. So read the book, practice zazen and THEN judge Buddhism based on your OWN experiences!

  • @MatosPacheco

Yes indeedy, Three Philosophies & One Reality is a good read. It can be found at Dogen Sangha.org along with other stuff by Gudo. Even better perhaps, as you probably know, is his book "To Meet the Real Dragon", available via Amazon, of course. A very clear, thorough explanation of his ideas. And CHEAP!.

  • @hceggeberth

...that link for Gudo's Lectures and Articles should be lower case with no gaps. Go to "Articles" (choose English, French or Finnish...yep, Finnish). And DO check out "To Meet the Real Dragon" by Gudo Nishijima with Jeffrey Bailey - if you fancy.

  • this movie is so good. if you have a true understanding of buddhism, you wouldn't compare it to any religion. buddhism believes truth is not singular, rather collective. that truth is found in all beliefs, for they are all seeds of the mind. christianity is a good religion, based on being a good person. the stories are purely symbolic, as is buddhism.

  • I am just starting it is helping me a lot with my mind and my emotions thank you so much

  • The wisdom of "the middle way"! So forgoten in todays hedonistic world...

  • the old geezer don't seem to have attained satori.

hmmm , doesn't look like much happens in zen buddhism.

  • It is sad that a channel offering such knowledge is so small compared to the entertainment channels on YouTube.

  • I killed one of these in DragonSky: A korean MMORPG :D!!

  • Karma & Rebirth means that we enjoy the Gift of Life, over & over again!

Karma & Rebirth means that life is not pointless, it has meaning, it has purpose

Karma & Rebirth means that we are the keepers of this earth.

Karma & Rebirth means that Human history is not a lie

Karma & Rebirth means we Hindus must do the right thing. Asking God to forgive our debts is WRONG – cheating our creditors. We must repay, the right thing to do.

Karma & Rebirth means that I am not a QUITTER!

  • wow, he's 84

i wish i could be so healthy at that age, if i get to be 84

also i think he learned english as an adult, probably as a senior, yet he expresses himself very well. mental clarity and good health even at an advanced age...definitely worth trying zen.

  • you must learn to have open mind my christian brother there is more than one path up the mountain..Not to disparage your beliefs but fyi Buddhism predates christianity by 2500 yrs

  • @wildumon01 I thought Budhism predated by 400 years? :)

  • @wildumon01 um the Buddha Siddhartha Gautama was born in 563 BCE not 2500 yrs before Christ friend. Just making sure you don't err to greatly and disuade another form the path toward truth.

    Namaste

  • @justaman6972 You Christians. You know it is because of the Abrahamic religions that the world events turned out the way they did. They cause violence. The world wouldve been a better place. And the ironic part is that God does not even condone the way you view the world. Nor does Jesus. That is the true tragedy in your religion.

  • @Vaan362 you have erred by assuming I practice any dogmatic religion, rather I am just a bit of consciousness aware of itself.

  • @justaman6972 Christians, according to the laws of logic and thought, and the laws of the Bible, cannot be able to have an open mind or conciousness. The very nature of Christianity is of an ignorant seclusion that is meant to help no one but the person itself. It is a selfish religion in its core, which is why it was so successful in spreading amongst the people. Christianity was an ingenious ploy to get people to do what you want.

  • @Vaan362 same for most religions in general

  • @Vaan362 why are YOU suggesting that I am anything. You know me not! What is more , is that the only reason you are able to recognize those traits in others is because they exist in you too. Were this not so you would not understand them. Even the wisest cannot see all ends , surely you aren't suggesting that you are among the wisest? Keep learning.

  • @justaman6972 Im not suggesting anything. You were defending Christianity, so I can only surmise that you hold beliefs similar to them. And I know Im wise because I strongly believe and KNOW that I do no know everything. And I take that into account whenever I speak to someone.

  • @justaman6972

    Ouch !

  • Comment removed

  • @wildumon01 precisely, Buddhism is outdated. The most up-to-date AND 2nd most popular religion is Islam. Take a look at this: Suppose I come to your temple and smash the idol you worship and named Buddha. Wow he couldn't even defend himself! So you come for revenge. You decide to smash my statu- Oh, never mind, I don't have one. Well ok, you proceed, to burn my Qur'an. Well, I don't worship that. Perhaps you destroy the Qabba. I don't worship that either. See, God cannot be idolized.

  • @AdmiralZhao007 I am pretty sure that a real Buddhist wouldn't "come for revenge" lol. You are speaking very ignorantly but that is ok because your ignorant thoughts are actually something that a true Buddhist would use to understand theirself and their own ignorance better. So thank you for your comments. And Buddhists dont worship idols lol. Just because people have made a statue of the Buddha does not mean they worship the statue. It is like a holy book. Just a reminder of the great power.

  • @AdmiralZhao007 I'd rather believe in the buddha than your stupid bullshit religion, sorry buddy, because it is :) Do you like that tolerance? it's the same your doing with buddhism.

  • @wildumon01 aprox 500 years

  • @wildumon01 You're a moron. Just thought I'd let you know ;)

  • @wildumon01 2500 years? Buddhism predates Christianity by 600 years, not 2500. But even the roots of Buddhism (Vedic religion) predates the roots of Christianity (Judaism).

  • these chili fritos are delicous!

  • Thank you !

  • It's very interesting.Thanks for the informations.

You can get your free meditation audio, please click at my channel.

  • Buddhist do not believe in the god or devil both false gods. I think good for me.

  • Very inspiring priest/monk. A Buddhist way that focuses not on spiritual imaginations but on the foundation of meditation exactly the way that the Buddha has teached.

Zen is the way of the empty mind, the empty mind is free.

  • Wonderful - So Zen is a way to unfold the better you above sexual matters materially and universally. To find the ideal you with a better perspective in living and know the essence of happiness whether poor or rich. It's free but it requires respect and knowing that humility is power! I am this power, and so are you!

  • @godlovesyouuu Yeah.....

  • I don't feel these zen and buddhists are intelligent people. They say that everything changes alle the time but they keep repeating the same old sentences and postures all their life.nobody dares criticize them you just listen to their so called "truths" and shut up.

  • @talyesin3

What makes you think that your religion is better?

  • That is an interesting thought. But Buddhism is not really a philosophie it is better to call it a practice. If you would try practicing Buddhism, whatever form, and would sit in the same posture you will find the anwser to your comment. it is impossible to sit in "the same old posture" because everything changes. your body and mind, even sitting in the same possition, are never the same. may you find the way to truth whether it is thru "Buddhism" or your "own" "search".

  • @talyesin3 Vous criez votre ignorance sur la place publique, bravo.

  • @Ryokushindo c'est drôle

  • @talyesin3

Are you more intelligent than them? Look inside and you'll be surprise. This is the method used by the Buddha and Educators around the world.

Learning according to the experts, is through repetition. Buddhists have wisdom. To be intelligent means you're only good academically and suffer endlessly emotionally. Poor suffering being!

  • @talyesin3 You don't have to agree with those monks . You don't have to put up with anything you think it is not right. This world has to have a lot of religions for all kind of people;some are dumb and some are smart. Thus the dumb one would not going to understand anything that smart people can comprehend, simple as that...Finally , there is no religion anyway cause there should not be any tracce of ego left that is the goal of every human being suppose to experience...

  • @talyesin3

Buddhist philosophy teaches that you always must seek knowledge or understanding. The same as Jesus taught, as this is also the basis of Judaism.

A buddhist monk would never say 'Shut up, you're going to hell', as this is a form of spiritual taxation to tell others they are destined for some imaginary place. Jesus was clear about the path, he was clear that all creation is the body of Christ we are all one....within the infinite/X which is the basis of the creator/God in judaism

  • @JohnnyPeacemaker We are all one as spiritual beings. But has passed 2000 years, the civilization destroys culture and human being.

Epoch demands new laws: we are not all one as personalities. Somebody - poor emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, but others - not. and they - defensless in front of violence. Sometimes - necessary to tell:Shut up, for the sake of future generations, which could busy in high creativity instead of struggle for a place under the sun among unequal in talent.

  • @talyesin3 all things change with one same basic fundamental law dictated by nature itself. you are an ignorant human being. I mean no insult for I choose to help not to induce hate. Therefore I must inform you of the insult you've caused others and the disrespectful tone of your comment. Please be wary of one's word that escapes one's mouths for only then will others watch their own when addressing one - respect and be respected friend.

  • zen is too complicate for me, i need no zazen and no teaching. i need no separate things, god or not god comes from thinkings.

  • @douglasmacjames As a matter of fact every religion is complicated; Christianity, Buddhism. Most people don't understand what there reigion is about or they cannot get to the root of their religion , that is the problem...

  • @MrSudsawat people are different, someone need religion, others no The problem is somepeople dont' see we are different

  • @douglasmacjames I agree with you that obviously we are different in termsof how intellectual of that person is.

  • @MrSudsawat we can't know how that person is.we can only try to know how we are. the problem is somepoeple want to know how masters are and they spend lot of time trying to anderstand others guys when it 's better focus on themself

  • @douglasmacjames I am kind of half agreed with you on that not totally...

  • Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. Zazen has had a profound impact on my life. When I listen to a gentleman of 84 talking about something I hold so dear with such excitement, I can't help to feel his joy.

  • FOR JAPANESE. WHAT'S THE TITLE OF THIS SONG? PLY REPLY

COPY AND PASTE TO SEARCH. .THANK YOU SO MUCH MY HERO. . GODBLESS

  • If you are a good person you will get into "heaven". So if there is a god but you don't believe in it and are still a good person then you will get in?

  • i have a question for the old geezer. he has been meditating for many years.

has anything happened after 40+ years meditation. or was it a waste of time.

  • @BluePittbull666

I guess that really depends, BluePitbull. What was supposed to "happen" that would, in your view, make it NOT a "waste of time?"

  • It is such a joy to see a pure soul! It is an inspiration, a blessing and guiding light to the path of truth and happiness.

    Om Shanti

    Namaste

  • oooooooooooooo

  • @crucifyme88 according to the old testament there is no original sin

  • the bible says the answer ls found in calling out to God the creator who sent His Son Jesus for us , unlike buddhism where they say the answer is found within i know Jesus is the truth, to look within only you will find that which is of human nature which is prietty horrible , look out and find the God of love and joy and peace who gives us a new spiritual nature

  • @kevinscholes they don't care about God while Japanese Mythology (before Budhist) is about GodS just like Greek Mythology or the Hindu Mythology

  • @kevinscholes We do, however, have to know what the problem is with the human condition if we are to do anything about it. The real accurate way to do that is to study it, not just look to the sky for wisdom. A God of Love would also not allow admirably ethical non-believers to go to Hell, especially admirable people like Ghandhi, who wasn't Christian.

  • Thank you for this.

I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. Falun Dafa (or Falun Gong) is a cultivation system in the Buddha School based on the principles of the Universe: Truth, Compassion, Forbearance. Since 1999 it has been brutally persecuted by the CCP in China.

  • Every religion is the best religion~

There is no wrong or right,

It is just a different path and teachings from every culture on this earth~

Every religion teaches us good things not bad~

I respect all religions in every way~

Everything happens for a reason, it is only when you seek the truth you will know what is real and what is not~ Is reality fantasy? And is fantasy reality? Regardless what his, her or its name is. There is only one God. The only God~ The God~ God lives in all of us~

  • @ThEfUcKiNgKiNg777 "Every religion is the best religion" Not true...scientology is RUBBISH!!!

  • @mumpump Don't be a fool~ Scientology is a beautiful religion~ Without science there is no religion, and without religion there is no science~ You just leave a comment like that and walk away with the word "RUBBISH?" Shows how much you know my friend~

  • @ThEfUcKiNgKiNg777 That's a joke right?

  • being calm and mellow is great. problem is we're surrounded with power and chaos addicts and but also desperate types. How do you get all this mess to work itself out ? Think of the Iraq war. Cause and effect of '911'. Chaos, death, grief turned into hate and back into chaos, death and more grief. Plus the growing world population a.k.a the "P bomb", wich can only result in more of the same, avitam eternam.

  • scribd (dot) com/nb812

  • Being healthy and happy is not what Buddha was seeking. He is seeking for ways to esscape from karma (recarnation). That one day he will not be recarnated again but achieve Nirvana.1. To know that life is full of suffering, 2. To find ways how to escape from karma, 3. Do not kill, steal, lie, gossip or say bad about others and sexual sin.

  • @jms1jut

As far as I know (I may be mistaken), the Buddha never spoke about sin, nor preached how you must behave (he gave recomendations, and the advice to dubt them). He was impulsed to be happy and healthy, never to age, get diseased or die.

  • @bluesrockfan36 his teachings had more to do with Hindus of that time, don't forget he belonged to India. The place he was born seems to be all muslim now and even the Islamic call to prayer is done there 5 times a day. Anyway, there are many different type of Budhisms.

  • @buchdich1 no, im Christian but you're not. You're forcing your faith on others and you're being an asshole on YouTube . I practice zen and yoga and there's nothing heretic about it. Besides what are you? Some redneck "Jesus follower"? I bet this old man can kick your sorry ass whenever in kumite.

  • @buckdich1

I'm an atheist and you must be a troll. because if you knew what christianity is, you wouldn't talk so disrespectfully.

  • @videovedo36 why, what christianity?

  • @videovedo36

Did you know that Zen Buddhism is the only "religion" that no atheist or agnostic can criticize?

  • @Mariet31

did you notice i was just "criticizing" buckdich1 who was saying that zen is bullshit?

    I didn't say a word on buddhism!

  • @videovedo36

I know, I am also an atheist, and Zen Buddhism is the only religion that I canon't find anything harmful.

Christians are generated so hypocritical people always say that they respect all religions, and looks how they like insult to this religion because hasn't belief in a God and don't have all that they like to believe.

  • @videovedo36

try telling that to those abused by the catholic church

or the native american indians and everyone else who has suffered at the hands of the sick cult of christianity

  • @timewilltell7

    really, i can't make myself understood...i' m sorry.

I don't believe in god. I'm not that into religion at all, so i wasn't praising christianity (I know very well that awful crimes were committed in its name and i want to add that i live in italy, and as an atheist it's tough to have to deal, against my will, everyday, with the presence of a very aggressive and arrogant Roman Catholic Church). in a way i was just hurt by buckdich's violent judgement on buddhism and I just wanted

  • @videovedo36 There is a difference between believing in God and being into religion. One has to do with your own spirit and the other is nothing more than big business which corrupts the mind. If you start to look for the truth, you will find that we are all part of a greater force. That force or energy unites us as one.

If you want to research more, listen to people like Mooji, Eckard Tolle, Gangaji, Francis Lucille, Burt Harding, and especially Gina Lake. All on youtube. The best to you!

  • @timewilltell7

...and I just wanted to point out to buchdick that maybe, all christians should stick much to the commandment "love your neighbor as yourself".

I was on this page because after a trip to japan I'm being fascinated by buddhism and i just want to learn a little bit more. This said, enough said.

  • @videovedo36I think that Mohatas Gandhi once said something like, "I like the Christian God, and I even like the Christ, but these Christians act nothing like the Christ". People really seem to have a nasty habit of saying one thing and doing something else.

  • @jamesdragonforce

I agree...again, being italian I'm sadly used to every kind of people that say one thing and do another...

  • what reply are you talking about?

  • @videovedo36 :

The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend personal God and avoid dogma and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers this description. If there is any religion that could cope with modern scientific needs it would be Buddhism. ~Albert Einstein

  • @buckdich1

    Why is that?.

  • @buckdich1

Religion is created by man. It's man made. It is merely a way for us to know truth means.

Read Tipitaka - The collection of the original teaching of Lord Buddha, to see how beautiful and profound the teaching is

  • @impermanentoo what about so many prophets?

  • Reverse it, and you'll have it, grasshoppah.

  • Bodunchar! I agree with your comment combined with not being lazy!

  • Zen i bullshit and ill tell you why. Buddhisam aims at losing the "illusion of self" THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE. The human condition IS self awareness. If you were to lose it, how would you know? IF you know, then you still have it. If you do succeed, then your catatonic. There is no way around this logic. Zen is even worse. Because they cant overcome this contradiction of self, they say its "beyond words and ideas" HOW CONVENIENT! They make up unanswerbel questions with wierd answers calling it nirvana

  • @MrTamimisa life experience is dependent on what you believe.

    What do you think?

  • @MrTamimisa "They make up unanswerbel questions with wierd answers calling it nirvana" I like that quote I must be

  • The past is gone and is just a skewed memory no longer a reality in itself. The future is speculative at most since it does not exist yet. The point being to put all your energy into the now which is the only reality. Each now is a step forward. And if you have a specific direction to move in, you will arrive without worry and will be in awe of your journey. That is my understanding anyway!

  • From what I gather from reading up on zen and having been in the martial arts. We should strive to focus our full concentration on the moment and / or what we are doing in the moment. Not to dwell on the past or the future, but the now.

  • @wishbone103

You will give your utmost concentration and effort to the task in hand.

No distractions, until this task is complete.

Adopting this discipline is far more productive than any other single skill. Would you agree?

  • @bodunchar I agree with your comment combined with not being lazy!

  • If you're interested in a Catholic perspective on medation, in both christian and buddhist traditions, read Thomas Merton. He was respected by monks and followers of both religions and wrote insightful books about both eastern and western religions.

  • "Tension and relexation should be equal" - only so-called religion who discovered the truth. If you want your life to be full, be life in it's full meaning you can't forgot it is made not only of pleasure (no matter is that pleasure of dope or pleasure of material success), but also of suffering that comes from sense of lose, longing, lack of satisfaction. Buddhism claims that to reach enlightenment you must feel the feelings of others. Without mind open for everything you can't say you live.

  • My relationship with zen is very funny thing, for some reason. I think many of their laws are outdated, probably there is no higher Truth (aka "meaning of life") than life itself, but which they tend to seek. On the other hand I feel deeply attracted to zen sensitivity in experiencing life. Even if we are nothing more than trick of the Universe we are equpped in senes that make our heart thrills exposed to the beauty of the world.

  • @Max0Inq There is a belief inside me, that only people who are to find enlightenment are those who not seek it.

  • @Max0Inq Have you read holy books of different faiths?

  • @MatrixOfDynamism I read New Testament few years ago and started reading Torah. But there is a lot of things ahead to discover and learn.

I'm quite interested in world's religions.

  • @Max0Inq thats quit interesting, what is your definition of "Truth"?

  • @MatrixOfDynamism I believe there is no universal Truth - people just live. Most of them are closer to their animal ancestary and less sentient they think they are. Life without search for anything that makes you better person is not worth of it's name.

People should be more eager to discover other's cultures and wisdom.

I have this luck I wasn't raised in religious family so christianity (main religion of Poland) was absurd to me. All young christians I met are very narrow-minded people.
