I know from personal experience that what she says is true. Cross a border and eat at a McDonald's in that country, and there's a high chance that a lot of the menu there tastes very differently than what you're used to.
(PS.: If you're from the US, then it's going to taste better and probably going to be a lot less nasty and unhealthy no matter where you go. Sad truth.)
Ah capitalism. Those pinko socialist commies in Canada and Europe... they actually eat food in their fast food!?! They NEED to dereg. and eat the same puke that a profiteer passes for nutrition, if they know what's good for them.

@HetTerZiele No, unless I go there to live. If I go to another country for tourism, or even temporary, I use to eat food from that country. It's just pathetic to go somewhere for some weeks, and not enjoying the place you're visiting.

@Alguien208 Did you seriously just write that last bit? Now who is being the condescending one? America was built off of immigrants, and I wouldn't go so far as to say fast food is "American" food. @Alguien208 Not typical in my household. I can not remember the last time I ate at McDonald's plus I do not watch a lot of TV. Not everyone in this country is lost.
@Alguien208 dude you don't know how big the difference really is. she's pointing out that fast food joints in Europe have higher standards and thus higher quality products due to better food regulation. FDA sucks, more so then EU food regulators, this much is obvious
@Alguien208 Alright, if you're going to criticize Americans, learn to spell, please. I don't understand it - don't you see the red dots under your words?
@Alguien208 : Typical European to import American fast food chains, give them their business, then bash someone b/c they're American for eating at the same place.

@jabooper you make a good point i either missed that or didnt get that far. however we have been eating this stuff for years and we are well aware that it is bad for you regardless of us knowing of this slime.
you know mcdonalds was like oh shit they found us out. They publicly say they discontinue ammonia hydrates and switch to something that is chemically the same.
@itisCasper She wasn't even stating that she went to another country and ate McDonalds. She was stating that in other countries the standards for McDonalds are higher. Infact that standard is general food production is higher anywhere else than it is in the US. Idiot.
@itisCasper Many places in Europe (at least Italy & Spain) close around noon thru early afternoon -- if you didn't know this beforehand you might be forced to patronize the only place that's open. Happened to us in Assisi several yrs ago, got there around 1:30pm with some very hungry kids, so had to go to McD's. McD's is very expensive in Europe too compared to here, and they've got a different menu.
@itisCasper Try LIVING in a foreign country for an extended period of time (and I mean a country significantly different from your own) - you'd be surprised what you crave after a year!
@itisCasper I'm guessing you've never traveled outside the US. I never eat McD's in the States (too many other healthier and tastier options), but when you're in a foreign country, McDonald's becomes much more attractive. Biggest plus is that you know what you're getting and that you won't get ripped off because you're a foreigner; on top of that, it's clean and they usually have free Wi-Fi.
In fact, it's more mind-boggling that anybody in the STATES would eat at McD's.
Don't really see that much wrong with it. If you go to maccas, don't expect to get a 5 star treatment and it is still meat either way. It's actually a lot more efficient to eat the whole animal than to kill a few more of them just because someone doesn't like the way it looks.
There are 7 billion people to feed in the world. Anything that creates efficiency, while still providing at least basic nutrition is a step forward to being able to achieve that. Yes, it looks nasty in it's uncooked state, but so does every other meat product.
@robinvan1983 I live in Norway which has plenty protectionist policies towards our farmers and so forth. And to say the EU does not have protectionist policies is laughable. Have you seen how they treat imports from africa and south america in perticular? Have you not seen the support given to farmers in the EU?
@Xebioz i was talking within the EU not on a global scale. within the EU you don't have 2 or 3 cops dominating the whole European market. it maintains a diverse market which prevents large coporations to dominate markets.
@robinvan1983 Well, protectionism usually deals with trade relations with different entities (countries, 'unions' (like the EU) or continents). Just because there is no protectionism towards domestic production (why on earth would there be? That's just counter-productive for everyone) it's still protectionism. You don't see the EU as a faction or country, you see it more as a club with no enforced rules or conduct. That is wrong, as it's pretty much like the US federal government towards states
@Xebioz have you just randomly replied to my comments or have you actually read them? I never stated EU has no enforced rules. I have stated that the EU internal economy is more competitive based than the US one as the US economy leans more to a few larger corporations that dominate the market.
@robinvan1983 I talk about protectionism and you respond that this doesn't happen within the EU, i then respond to you by saying that the EU does have protectionist policies (protectionism has nothing to do with the market share of firms (How many there are) only that those outside the jurisdiction of the domestic authorities). I also explain that you have to treat the EU as a country in this case as the trade rules are similar. To this you say that I haven't read your comments. What did I miss?
@Xebioz To clarify (something messed up my protectionism explanation) Protectionism does not deal with market share, but with discriminating against FOREIGN TRADE. If you didn't want to talk about this issue, then why did you start responding to my comment on Protectionism?
@robinvan1983 They stop big mergers to avoid monopoly market shares (every country has this so why is EU relevant?). And by the way, you responded to my comment first, which is why it might have been misleading for me (as if you read your comment over again it's not clear that you don't have a direct reply to my comment). Still don't see how stopping big mergers have anything to do with protectionism though. Protectionism is not about protecting certain companies (thats corporatism) (part 1)
@Xebioz Protectionism is about protecting domestic industries over that of foreign industries (through quotas and tariff's etc.). The EU definately does this so I don't see how anything you've said thus far have anything to do with Protectionist policies... And if it doesn't have anything to do with that, why reply to my comment about it? And saying that they're for mergers only mean they will create an oligopolistic market rather than monopolistic, as they still oppose foreign trade...
@Xebioz well you use the word protectionism for anything that isn't 100% free market. A subsidy isn't always protectionism. and if you don't see why don't stopping big mergers have anything to do with protectionism then you don't know economy. cause i explained it already
@robinvan1983 Seriously? Subsidies for all domestic production is not protectionism? I think it's time to stop this as you clearly can't see open protectionism in the market. If promoting your own local businesses by making their costs go down artificially how exactly is that not protectionism? Maybe you don't like the label (as many europeans I talk to this about don't), but if you don't like being against international trade maybe you should consider who you vote for. And protectionism (pt 1)
@Xebioz Has nothing to do with how free market something is, it's about promoting domestic business over that of foreign competitors, and subsidies for domestic, quotas and tarriff's for external business are signs of protectionism. Tell me one case where promoting domestic businesses with a subsidy and therefore lowering their prices artificially is not protectionism...
@Xebioz Subsidies does not mean Lowering prices. Most public transport is (partly) subsidized and the government uses the subsidy to demand safety regulations, on time quota's and availability. Other subsidies are there to promote new feasible technologies or starter subsidies to new small businesses, other subsidies are there to promote ecological awareness by making new waste management affordable and other promote disabled workers to be hired
It's efficient. And she says they only cut the ammonia. The mechanical separation is still present. I don't see what's wrong with the process, it's not a big deal it just looks gross. So does Mexican food.
Repeating a lie a million times doesn't make it the truth. I know for a fact that McDonald's has NEVER EVER used this pink extrusion to make Chicken McNuggets. I know because I used to run the machine that made the Chicken McNuggets. McNuggets are, in fact, whole white breast meat, with liquid and dry seasonings added and 5% or less of ground chicken skin added as a binder. With exception of the seasonings they are 100% whole chicken.
Look in the US; Stuff like this is done all the time with any prodcut and foods. They say "No long term effects are KNOWN" This is just a way that the medical industry makes money. eventually people will get sick from stuff like this, no one will know where or how they got their cancer or disease. Meanwhile medical industry is making lots of money. This is why FDA approves these things, its all Political gain. Our government does not care about us.
How about you stop using meat that is not meant to be eaten??? How about Americans, we not be so blind and see that this is all about profits... its not about cleaning meat.. They are shaving meat off the bone... this is not normal.. the meat is highly infested so to make it edible this is what they do??? Hello! This is not even reat meat they are given to us..its a meat product..
whoever typed the subtitle might want to watch it again you messed up like 10 times
CBSAirsoft 3 hours ago
Ammonium hydroxide can be used for cleaning, yes. But saying that a "cleaning product" is used to clean the meat slush?
It is like saying that the street deicing chemical is used to flavor our food.
This is yet an example of how americans in general are totally ignorant of basic chemistry and science in genera.
How did these two get a high school diploma? Only in America...
And later these kind of people will have power over the rest of us, passing stupid laws to protect us against our-self..

442hoeky 1 week ago

Bruciuschapmius 2 weeks ago
There are 7 billion people to feed in the world. Anything that creates efficiency, while still providing at least basic nutrition is a step forward to being able to achieve that. Yes, it looks nasty in it's uncooked state, but so does every other meat product.

@robinvan1983 I live in Norway which has plenty protectionist policies towards our farmers and so forth. And to say the EU does not have protectionist policies is laughable. Have you seen how they treat imports from africa and south america in perticular? Have you not seen the support given to farmers in the EU?
Xebioz 2 weeks ago
@Xebioz i was talking within the EU not on a global scale. within the EU you don't have 2 or 3 cops dominating the whole European market. it maintains a diverse market which prevents large coporations to dominate markets.
robinvan1983 2 weeks ago
@robinvan1983 Well, protectionism usually deals with trade relations with different entities (countries, 'unions' (like the EU) or continents). Just because there is no protectionism towards domestic production (why on earth would there be? That's just counter-productive for everyone) it's still protectionism. You don't see the EU as a faction or country, you see it more as a club with no enforced rules or conduct. That is wrong, as it's pretty much like the US federal government towards states
Xebioz 2 weeks ago
@Xebioz have you just randomly replied to my comments or have you actually read them? I never stated EU has no enforced rules. I have stated that the EU internal economy is more competitive based than the US one as the US economy leans more to a few larger corporations that dominate the market.
robinvan1983 2 weeks ago
@robinvan1983 I talk about protectionism and you respond that this doesn't happen within the EU, i then respond to you by saying that the EU does have protectionist policies (protectionism has nothing to do with the market share of firms (How many there are) only that those outside the jurisdiction of the domestic authorities). I also explain that you have to treat the EU as a country in this case as the trade rules are similar. To this you say that I haven't read your comments. What did I miss?
Xebioz 2 weeks ago
@Xebioz To clarify (something messed up my protectionism explanation) Protectionism does not deal with market share, but with discriminating against FOREIGN TRADE. If you didn't want to talk about this issue, then why did you start responding to my comment on Protectionism?
Xebioz 2 weeks ago
@Xebioz Really? Ever wondered why EU stops Big Mergers in certain industries? Cause that was the point i was making all along
robinvan1983 2 weeks ago
@robinvan1983 They stop big mergers to avoid monopoly market shares (every country has this so why is EU relevant?). And by the way, you responded to my comment first, which is why it might have been misleading for me (as if you read your comment over again it's not clear that you don't have a direct reply to my comment). Still don't see how stopping big mergers have anything to do with protectionism though. Protectionism is not about protecting certain companies (thats corporatism) (part 1)
Xebioz 2 weeks ago
@Xebioz Protectionism is about protecting domestic industries over that of foreign industries (through quotas and tariff's etc.). The EU definately does this so I don't see how anything you've said thus far have anything to do with Protectionist policies... And if it doesn't have anything to do with that, why reply to my comment about it? And saying that they're for mergers only mean they will create an oligopolistic market rather than monopolistic, as they still oppose foreign trade...
Xebioz 2 weeks ago
@Xebioz well you use the word protectionism for anything that isn't 100% free market. A subsidy isn't always protectionism. and if you don't see why don't stopping big mergers have anything to do with protectionism then you don't know economy. cause i explained it already
robinvan1983 2 weeks ago
@robinvan1983 Seriously? Subsidies for all domestic production is not protectionism? I think it's time to stop this as you clearly can't see open protectionism in the market. If promoting your own local businesses by making their costs go down artificially how exactly is that not protectionism? Maybe you don't like the label (as many europeans I talk to this about don't), but if you don't like being against international trade maybe you should consider who you vote for. And protectionism (pt 1)
Xebioz 2 weeks ago
@Xebioz Has nothing to do with how free market something is, it's about promoting domestic business over that of foreign competitors, and subsidies for domestic, quotas and tarriff's for external business are signs of protectionism. Tell me one case where promoting domestic businesses with a subsidy and therefore lowering their prices artificially is not protectionism...
Xebioz 2 weeks ago
@Xebioz Subsidies does not mean Lowering prices. Most public transport is (partly) subsidized and the government uses the subsidy to demand safety regulations, on time quota's and availability. Other subsidies are there to promote new feasible technologies or starter subsidies to new small businesses, other subsidies are there to promote ecological awareness by making new waste management affordable and other promote disabled workers to be hired
