Excellent editing, although I think it'd be even crazier than what you were able to pull off with available footage. Still though, 2011 and people are still claiming we've never been to the moon. Of course, people are claiming that the earth is 6000 years old too. I think everyone is just getting stupider as time goes on.

@MrAxemana There were actually three more planned, and they were canceled to cut costs...as I said the Apollo program was about proving American might; we felt outdone after Sputnik. After 6 landings interest waned and budgets got cut. We actually did accomplish things up there though...we brought back samples & experimented, we put a reflector up there that we can ping today, and left other equipment. And it was not easy. It took years, failed missions, and many brilliant minds to get it right.
I think there was another reason they stopped when they did. Apollo11 came within seconds of disaster when landind. Ap13 limped back home after the explosion. (A few hours earlier or later they would not have got home) Ap17 nearly aborted in Luna orbit. They were incredibly lucky. I am glad they stopped when they did, they had acheived their objectives and to have lost a crew up there would have been a blow to manned space flight.

Actually, since the moon rocks they brought back had unique radioactive signatures, and it would be far more expensive to fake that than to actually get up there and bring back the actual rocks, no, it would not have been cheaper to fake it. In fact, we today would not be able to fake the radioactive signatures of those moon rocks.

@MrAxemana Why?Just to prove it to you?We did go back 5 times after the first landing.Its all about cost and risk.Robotic missions are cheap, precise,and don't result in loss of life if something goes wrong. Apollo was driven by the Cold War.The manned missions were about politics and advancing military applicable technology.The Soviets would have called foul if they even had a hint we cheated...and better yet why would we fake going there 5 more times, increasing risk of exposure?Think about it

@MrAxemana There were actually three more planned, and they were canceled to cut costs...as I said the Apollo program was about proving American might; we felt outdone after Sputnik. After 6 landings interest waned and budgets got cut. We actually did accomplish things up there though...we brought back samples & experimented, we put a reflector up there that we can ping today, and left other equipment. And it was not easy. It took years, failed missions, and many brilliant minds to get it right.

I think there was another reason they stopped when they did. Apollo11 came within seconds of disaster when landind. Ap13 limped back home after the explosion. (A few hours earlier or later they would not have got home) Ap17 nearly aborted in Luna orbit. They were incredibly lucky. I am glad they stopped when they did, they had acheived their objectives and to have lost a crew up there would have been a blow to manned space flight.
