  • I would like to speak on behalf of evo lovers everywhere and just say one thing. You can hate an evo, but at the end of the day... Mitsubishi has NEVER gone over 300HP on an evo sold from a dealer, yet it spanks 80 thousand dollar cars. Unlike other cars, they DONT need to give the evo 500-800 HP from its previous model to make it better. Get real, you know how screwed you would be if they did that? A turbo charged AWD sports sedan like an evo is all you need. Jeremy clarkson is in LOVE with it.

Not only that, the fq400 will DESTROY your precious 458 italia on turns... They both have dual clutch transmissions, but you seem to forget that the evo is simply better on turns. An Evo MIGHT be quicker through slow corners where it can be be chucked in and pushed out, but on every straight, and every semi-fast corner, an fq400 wouldn't see what way the 458 went.

    And EVO isn't some magic car. Yes, it might have 4wd, but it's a saloon car with a centre of gravity a foot higher than the Ferrari. It isn't in the same league for speed. Plus it's fucking ugly.

In one of his videos he states that a lambo enters a corner at 60MPH. And then he says, i just went in at 95MPH. In an Evo FQ

    The fact is that an EVO might make it through a slow corner quicker than a big Lambo, but in a fast corner, the fact that the EVO is a saloon car with a high centre of gravity, and has very minimal downforce, means that ANY current supercar would disappear down the road.

  • The evo on top gear isnt like the ones from japan mate, its a FQ-400 which is heavily modified compared to the stock jap ones. A standard evo wouldnt do so well. BTW i have an jap spec evo 8 so im not picking on evos.

    Also you said just because it started out as a car that handles good. Once you put more power in it, it can damage the handling, so you have to do handling mods also.

    Example: just because you up the HP to 500+ don't mean the handling stays the same. The power changes the cars feel, weight, and etc...

    With traction control on, RWD is just like FWD if you're daily driving.

    Only difference is RWD can drift, and the back end can get loose, which doesn't really matter because most people that buy a car that RWD don't do either of those things.

    Furthermore, I have test drove some FWD cars, and they handle just as well as a RWD car. I believe the Acura TSX is one that handles like a RWD.

    Also my other proof. How much people buy a RWD to drift, or go to a track and get the back end loose? Barely any? Only the rich that can afford the damages they are putting on the car. (Engine, Brakes, and Tires) So basically most people buy a RWD to daily drive, which is the same as a FWD car. FWD is best for daily driving.
