Reading the said verse alone (Luke 19:27) without reading the entire passage will lead you to get the wrong understanding of the scripture's context. "The Parable of the Ten Minas", starts at verse 9 and ends on verse 27 as cited here.
A Parable should not be understood in literal sense but by Spiritual discernment.
Understanding the Biblical Scripture well will lead all to life not death. Life in Christ is eternal.

Nice trick: this video is edited so as to never allow the Bishop to respond. Luke 19 is a parable of a master who sends his servant out to complete an errand. The servant acted against his master's opportunity for a position of authority and so the master ordered the servant killed. Jesus was using this as a parable for judgment day, when he will judge those who have rejected him. This is not something that he did, or condoned be done, outside of judgment. JUst one thing about Jihad... the main concept actually, which was stressed by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was that Jihad is a struggle. Especially from battling ones own negative desires (I forget the arabic root word)... but basically, that's the most important Jihad for Muslims. Reading the said verse alone (Luke 19:27) without reading the entire passage will lead you to get the wrong understanding of the scripture's context. "The Parable of the Ten Minas", starts at verse 9 and ends on verse 27 as cited here.
A Parable should not be understood in literal sense but by Spiritual discernment.
Understanding the Biblical Scripture well will lead all to life not death. Life in Christ is eternal.

I see a lot of academic debate below about whether this verse was Jesus threatening to kill unbelievers or just a character from a parable.
Does it matter? The Sheikh can't defend the Islamic idea of Jihad just by going "hey look - the Christians are just as bad as us.". Most people who are neither Muslim nor Christian know that both religions have a long list of atrocities to atone for.

Nice trick: this video is edited so as to never allow the Bishop to respond. Luke 19 is a parable of a master who sends his servant out to complete an errand. The servant acted against his master's opportunity for a position of authority and so the master ordered the servant killed. Jesus was using this as a parable for judgment day, when he will judge those who have rejected him. This is not something that he did, or condoned be done, outside of judgment. JUst one thing about Jihad... the main concept actually, which was stressed by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was that Jihad is a struggle. Especially from battling ones own negative desires (I forget the arabic root word)... but basically, that's the most important Jihad for Muslims. Concerning the Jihad, it's specific from Islam. Actually, Jihad is the Right to Kill given from God to protect the religion or faith. But you have to know this : Islam proclaims that the Books of Jew and Christians(Torah and Bible) are in the Quran. Quran bring them together. So if ... we can see in these 2 Holy Books there's the 10 Commandments which Muslims should respect. And in these Holy Commandments, one of the most important is "You shall not kill!" You can't kill anyone !

I just laugh co'z the priest has no time to response ! First,the Imam doesn't actually say exactly what is Salavation in Islam. For Christians, Savation is In Jesus only coz we are unable to practice the Law. He's just constantly condamning Christians with something he doens't understand himself. One God, Three Faces. Amazing, when a Muslim leader takes a parable, out of context, and attributes it to Christian theology. And everyone laughs. What a deception they have bought into... This parable teaches what will happen to those who are unfaithful/ unprofitable with the gifts they have been given. They were all given minas to 'manage'. They ones that managed well were rewarded. The ones that were lazy, self-centered, and slackards, were punished.

Read the whole chapter, Jesus was telling a parable (story with metaphorical meanings) and in his parable there was a king who was betrayed and it the king saying 'kill people' not Jesus. Jesus preached love for enemies!
