Artist who want to take part in Eurovision representing the UK should take note on how to win the Song Contest. A great band/solo singer who sings a great but not cheesy song and mix it with fantastic outfits, then maybe we will Eurovision again (not counting the times the UK have already won it)

Also... what exactly made the Israeli jury (Dan Kaner) start with the 12 points ?

Yugoslavia - what exactly was going on there ? how come the first time she didn't have the results and after 3 seconds they suddenly had them ?

Portugal proved us that if you don't really know a language you shouldn't use it - when they were called they said Slan Lat which is actually "Good Bye" in Irish.

@SimsMoyal At least they tried to be respectful towards Ireland by trying to say some irish words ... they got the wrong ones but intentions matter the most. Otherwise we would have to ask today's Eurovision eastern countries to stop singing in English due to their terrible accent and chldish-made lyrics with no meaning for the same reasons.

@SimsMoyal This was 1981 people didn't notice those things that much not as much as we do today because we look at Eurovision now with a lot of shallowness we do focus too much on looks and we do judge it today from a negative perspective wheras in those days where people just focused and opinated on the music. That is why we can look back at this era and say with arrogance that those mistakes were an embaressement. A little bif of humility would alloow us to ignore that and move on.

That is so stupid what the dutch tv did here - they put the station logo right ON the number of votes The Netherlands has that way their own people can't see how many points they have !

i hate it when orginzations do things without thinking - so they would have remove the station logo for half an hour .... i dont think someone would have loss anything from it
