i have tried this and a high powered stove is essential. I tried it on my electric stove and the low power just did not form the omlette quick enough and this was using a pan without non stick coating. It might of worked using a on stick pan as they are more forgiving but using my high powered 9kw gas burner in a pan without non stick coating produced awesome results
