Hey Paul!! you're one of my favorite climber, love your style, im wondering what's your favorite climbing shoe. saw u using the five ten dragon in that vid and la sportiva in some other vids.
Hey Paul, you are really something isnt it!?!?! Im 28 and im not so young as I would like to, I started to climb a few weeks ago and you are an athlete that I would like to follow, also and more important, it seems that you are a good guy, keep it that way and take care.
@sarvelaj yeah he probably had a ton of input just paying respect to the sort of unsung heroes of the gym the setters like the dude with the hand hold shirt on in the video
Hi paul, i am 14 abd have been roxk climbing fo about 3 or 4 months now, and i am wanting to start lead climbing. How should i start. On topropes, i a ma 5.10- 5.11, how old were ypu when you started? Your respective fan~ parker. :)
Hey Paul my name is Paul too haha. But my question is that I've been climbing for almost five months now and I'm climbing v5's and some v6's and the transition from 5's to 6's has been really hard. Any tips or training exercises I could do to get stronger?
Hey Paul. This is a little off topic, but I was wondering how you like UC Boulder. (as a school and a awesome place to climb) I'm graduating next year and that school is up at the top of my list.
@Alluhavetodoiswatch CU boulder and boulder in general is an amazing place! the school is great and is a really great environment to learn in and the town is incredible, great gyms, restaurants, etc. and the climbing is world class. if you are a climber, boulder really is the place to be! ~Paul Robinson
Hey Paul! I think I saw you over at Elite (formerly Vertical Reality) on Saturday. I was one of the many 14-year-olds standing behind you, watching. Just wanted to say you're a huge inspiration to me and my friends. It's really cool to be climbing where a legend once climbed. I also happen to live in Moorestown, as well! Well, that's about it, maybe I'll see you at Elite again in the future. I'll actually introduce myself this time, haha.
@MaplePuw0nage Hey Greg, thanks a lot! Growing up climbing in that gym was a great experience and coming back and seeing new people really psyched on climbing is awesome. Definitely introduce yourself next time! I should be at the competition there in October. Hope to see you then! ~Paul Robinson
Hey Paul seen you in so many climbing videos and more recently in the Reel Rock Tour Video 2010 getting that V16 Lucid Dreaming is so inspirational. I have been climbing since the end of september and love it! Climbing every other day or every day at university.
I have strength but lack finger strength lots as I've only been climbing for quite a short period of time! I know finger strength comes with time on the wall, but any particular recommedations? Leading 6c/7a at the moment. Many thanks!
@joe1joe1joe2 PS. After long days climbing when you bend your fingers into almost a fist do your fingers ever feel swollen? no pain and i have it most days i climb i guess its just my tendons getting tired or aggrevated slightly? Many Thanks, Joe
@stickytape238 The best answer I could find was "Sweet Flower" by Malakai, but I couldn't find any sources with the pure song :( Any luck among you guys?
It is so great to see that Paul is personally responding to aspiring climbers. Paul, it's a real pleasure to watch you climb! Keep up the amazing progress!
GREAT VIDEO and ADVICE!!! I'm very new to climbing, and my only goal is the same: To "make every movement perfect", "so it feels really easy". I'm 36 and thought it would be impossible to do some of these hard climbs that look so fun, but I'm putting it all into this, it's all I want to do now...and it's paying off!
@donnywal I feel you man. It's a bitch starting climbing in your mid thirties, but I can't imagine the rest of my life without climbing, and I can no longer fathom how I subsisted my first 35 years of life without it.
Hey, I recommend that you try to climb on really overhang walls. Try to set climbs for yourself with bad footholds to increase the weight on your hands. Also, do some campusing on either a campus board or a steep wall to build the bigger muscle groups. Push ups and sit ups on a regular basis help a lot to increase core strength! Good luck!
