  • Thats nice I like it, the sound effects were a nice addition.

  • what kind of track?

  • @MrStuff121 The product is called Unitrack made by Kato.

  • Very Well Done, Thanks!

  • @ rifhc

Thanks a lot for the advice. One more question - are the end bridge pieces different to those in the middle, i.e. the sloped girders you can see in the video?

  • @flymajj Each bridge contains a horizontal girder that allows you to connect to another bridge. So there's no middle or end bridge.

  • Nice setup! How long is this layout?

Do you think it would be possible to replicate this but with double returning loops, i.e. 4 tracks on the straight section?

  • @flymajj The layout is approximately 23 feet long. As for double returning loops, it is possible. One loop section will require ten pairs of 348mm 30deg / 381mm 30deg curved single track viaducts, four 186mm straight single track viaducts, two 62mm straight single track viaducts.

For the middle section, you just add as many 248mm single track viaducts your room will accommodate. With the loop configuration, you'll have a bit of a gap between the two / two straight sections.

  • @1roadstr

On the straight section, I made a mistake on the part number. Instead of #23-018, it should be #23-019. Please double check my part numbers with the Kato website before you order.

  • @rifhc

    Thank you very much!

I know my son will love this as much as me!

  • @1roadstr

You're welcome. I hope you and your son have fun.

I assumed you were familiar with the Kato Unitrack line of products, but in case you are not, you will also need the #22-014 power supply pack and #24-818 terminal unijoiner leads to connect the viaduct track to the power supply.

I also forgot to mention that you will need 2 packages of the #20-047 single track pier pier set for each end loop. These are used by the viaduct so they are elevated off the ground.

  • @1roadstr

For each end loop you'll need

#20-530 348mm radius 45deg single curve viaduct (quantity 4 packages)

#20-410 186mm single track viaduct (quantity 1 package)

#20-047 single track pier set (5 per package)

For the straight section you'll need

#20-400 248mm single track viaduct (quantity depends on length you want)

#23-018 double track pier set (6 per package)

The double track truss bridges vary in color. There's black (#20-438), silver (#20-437), light blue (#20-436) and red (#20-435).

  • I would like to run this exact layout.

    What parts are needed?

  • @60008vagos and @et2598 I'm currently trying to figure out how to connect this to my urban railway station. As much as I enjoy building an architectural model of the station, I also want to run my passenger trains at full speed. Just a little kid at heart.

  • It appears that youtube has smoothed the imagery to make it appear less grainy. I could see the noise in the original upload.

  • Thanks. This was my first video posting. My apologies for the grainy appearance. The lighting in the room is fairly dim.
