what? are you serious. ive played many games where the shifting doesnt 'lag' thats a weak excuse for developers being a bit lazy. try pgr 4, dirt 2, shift, hell even shitty grid has pretty acurate gear changes and thats the most arcadey racer ive ever played
What is saying is that for it 2 be real the hand needs to be on the shifter starting to move as you press the shift up button on the controller. alot of games have a few seconds from when you press shift to when it actually shifts (to give the animation time) and this is not very realistic. Both games are really really good the main diffrence without getting to far into it that NFS Shift is more Arcade/Unrealistic "At times" Where as Forza 3 is leaning more towards a Realistic/Simulation Type game. My personal feelings based on this and also having played Shift i feel i would buy Forza3 over NFS Shift.

Its clear as hell though if you have played GT5 prologue, that GT5 physics are terrible by comparison to Forza 3, they are comparable to that of Forza 2. Forza 3 racing feels more rewarding, is harder and generally feels more realistic and better. All the GT fans crowding here clearly are worried Forza is better than GT5, otherwise they wouldn't be wasting their time here. GT5's only advantage is more cars, but who will even half of those cars? Forza 3>GT5 and the fanboys know it.
Good point, but GT5P was released in 2008 march, GT5 is released in 2010 march, so a 2 year difference. In the last 2 years though the only difference has been the cars they have added and the tracks, and graphical updates, the physics engine is the same, and GT5P is a taste of the game, the gameplay in GT5 will be the same with maybe minor differences. I personally just LOVE Forza's take on the games handling and levels of realism, calling this game terrible is BS, even if GT5 was better.

Seriously...Why are you all arguing about a game? Both the Ps3 and Xbox 360 have downsides, but you don't mention them? I do have a ps3, but Forza looks immense. I do hope they did improve Gt5 from the prologue, though...

Its clear as hell though if you have played GT5 prologue, that GT5 physics are terrible by comparison to Forza 3, they are comparable to that of Forza 2. Forza 3 racing feels more rewarding, is harder and generally feels more realistic and better. All the GT fans crowding here clearly are worried Forza is better than GT5, otherwise they wouldn't be wasting their time here. GT5's only advantage is more cars, but who will even half of those cars? Forza 3>GT5 and the fanboys know it.

Good point, but GT5P was released in 2008 march, GT5 is released in 2010 march, so a 2 year difference. In the last 2 years though the only difference has been the cars they have added and the tracks, and graphical updates, the physics engine is the same, and GT5P is a taste of the game, the gameplay in GT5 will be the same with maybe minor differences. I personally just LOVE Forza's take on the games handling and levels of realism, calling this game terrible is BS, even if GT5 was better.

Honeslty what the fuck are GT fanboys here for exactly? Are you defending GT5 from Forza 3? Because if thats why your here then you must feel that Forza 3 is so good that you have to make everyone else hate it like you, Forza isn't just a racing game, its a simulator, and a hell of a more one than GT5. GT5 has 1000 cars, about 100 have cockpit view, and 40 tracks, and NO CUSTOMISATION besides color of car. Forza has online auction house, 400 cockpit view fully customisable cars, 100+ tracks etc.

This 'turf war' between Sony and Microsoft is fucking retarded. They both want each of their games to be exclusive for their systems, but they fail to realize that they're losing out on a lot of money by doing so, since both PS3 and 360 attract a lot of racing fans. I'd buy Forza3 if I could, but I guess I have to wait 4 months for GT5
