I'm pretty sure my parents are going to get me one for my birthday. Do you think i can just take all the electronics out of my Traxxas bandit and put them in there.
great vid!! Makes me want one. Q: is it 100% stock straight out of the box in the vid? Seems so fast in the straights. Have a Losi Strike now, just for bashing.. should I get this one and move over my 10.5t brushless ++? Worth it?
@haz20102010 Yes this was stock out of the box. You will definitely want to get a 550 sized motor instead of the 10.5t because these trucks are pretty heavy compared to the 2wd trucks.
@lizardmannnn They can all handle the power of brushless systems but my favorite truck has been the Losi by far. The extra weight of the truck helps to keep it settled and consistent.
@lizardmannnn Why exclude the slash. Its a great truck and track worthy. sure it has a high cg but i have a slash 4x4 and i race againts jamins, hypers, and losi's and i can beet them. I trade controllers for a while....same story. the biggest variable is the driver not the trck. if you are good behid the wheel it shouldint mater what your driving. Dont count the slash out...it may suprize you :)
just thought i should mention that 130 on a motor is not even optimal temperature. About 155 is where the motor makes the most power. If my motor was running at 130 i would gear up a little. especially if it is lacking power.
I'd also recommend upgrading the shock towers; they tend to bend easily. I went with 3S lipo on the trinity 6.5T 550; a bit over powered; but made the truck a blast to drive. Be sure to get a better servo horn when you upgrade servo; I broke the stock one first race out with a high powered servo.
@zerobane3 Thanks! I found out the hard way about the towers bending. I'm thinking of getting the 4mm CF ones from Losi. I've tried several different motor combos but the next one I think will be the Novak HV 6.5T on 2s. Some tracks here won't allow 3s. Also, using the alum. dynamite servo horn. Everything has held up, now it's time to tweak the setup :)
@thedoc612 Thanks for the info. A buddy of mine at the track mentioned that to me. I have the Jammin SCRT10 and it has the same problem of the servo saver loosening up. I did tighten it up already in this video but I didn't check my endpoints on the radio and that is what killed the servos. Since this video, I have done the rear and center diffs with oil and gotten the steering dialed in. Laid down my personal best qualifiers and mains. Unfortunately, didn't get any video of it but will soon.
@mitchellhartley Yea, check those endpoints on the radio! I went through two servos within 4 battery packs. The losi truck loves to turn but just make sure you don't push the servo more than what the truck wants to turn. Thx Josh @ KC for that tip.

Eh, 4x4 is dominating.
I'd be racing mine now except I'm majorly bummed about my lipo dying.
