  • didn't like. But that's just my opinion. Didn't like the way she sings in this.

  • I wanna marry her

  • I would say typicaly a cover starts bad ; it is common to make a cover of a song when you are untalented and unable to write poems by your own. The result ? Well you just can't feel the song if you can't decrypt it's meaning. Thus, Emilie Autumn is a poet herself, she is a writer ; I put my hand to the fire that she knows what she sings even when she makes a cover. I suppose that is why this cover is among the rare superb cover ; she can understand, and share that feeling, differently...

  • Why does everyone seem to see covers as artists trying to one-up eachother? Why can't it just be a tribute to an artist or song they love and draw inspiration from?

  • I seriously hate this song, but emilie makes it listenable for me.

  • She has very beautiful, clear and strong voice. And amazing, original look. This is why she's queen b.

  • Without any bias as many have with cover songs, this is pretty good! I love her style of music even though it is not my favorite, it is still great and trying to stylize one of the, if not the greatest song I have heard into her own mix of victorian industrial female vocal and instruments, it's amazing :D If I stated with a bias I would say that this doesn't compare at all to the original but that's just my Queen fanaticism talking :]

  • I like emilie autumn, and i love queen...But there are songs that cannot be covered! i´m sorry, but that´s true...this is a classic and none cover is gone make me change mi mind! XD

  • I love Emilie Autums music. She makes this song sound so much better and gives it so much emotion.I love her opera like voice,

  • I love this woman. She's the only woman I would be lesbian for.

She's fantastic, not only with her singing but with the emotion and effort that she puts into it. Her Enchant album was beautiful, and her Opheliac was raw and powerful. She's going to go down in history right along with dear old Freddie Mercury.

  • @xShinraTensei13 that's because your appreciation for her has nothing to do with e.g. physical attractiveness but rather because you like the idea - and it's the idea you feel the attraction towards. so in fact gay/straight/whatever has ZERO to do with it.

  • A hand has taken mime

  • My lady crush on her just got a thousand times bigger.

  • Not my favorite, but I appreciate that it's all her voice and therefor all female. I've always wonder what that would sound like.

  • I am SO singing Emilie's version of this song for my music performance in February. It's amazing - I mean, what do you expect when you put one of the best songs ever written with one of the best voices in the world?

I hope I'll do it at least a shadow of justice!

  • lolwat?

  • Our choir did this song once... was a lot of fun. Hearing anybody cover this song well just gives me chills, and Emilie does a fantastic job. She's so theatrical and has an amazing range... lots of varying tones in her voice. I think this is cover is great, and anybody who says otherwise is: a) tone-deaf/wouldn't know talent if it hit them in the face, b) unaccepting of anyone other than Queen doing this--in which case, why are they here?, or c) just plain stupid. I rest my case.

  • oh, god. I love this so much. I love Emilie's voice!!!! :D

  • I love this song! And AWESOME picture at 3:55-4:40 of her and a little rat friend :3

  • i just listened to the original and i have to say that honestly this one is way better.

  • 90 people must have shit on theyr minds!

  • This is a fantastic cover. She did a great version of it.

  • Nothing against the artist herself but she should've covered a song more compatible with her genre and voice style. Queen is a hard band to cover.

  • i know its hard (impossible maybe) to top queen in this song, but i dont know....this cover doesnt convince me, the singer is good (not mercury by any means, but good) but the instrumentals just suck, it just doesnt make me feel anything, im sorry but that just ruins this cover for me (put a loud guitar solo god damnit)

  • I love this cover...but she reversed lyrics at the climax of the song. -__-

  • this song is amazing, the cover is rather well. But its just something about this i don't like ?

  • Correct Queen Lyrics: "So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye?

So you think you can love me and leave me to die?"

Emilie Autumn's Lyrics: "So you think you can love me and leave me to die?

So you think you can stop me and spit in my eye?"

  • oh god... my mother loves this song... i need to show her this!!!! :D

  • Errrr here's the thing, Emilie is great but this is just one of the songs where Freddie was at his best, and one of Queen's trademark song.

This was a rock song with an opera twist, and sounds best as a rock song with an opera twist.

Plus I really Like Roger's, Brian's and Freddie's Galileo best.

But this was interesting. Her vocals were great, but I think the instruments weren't loud enough. It has be like "BAM!" Especially the part of "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN STONE ME AND SPIT MY EYE?" Part.

  • Grew up on queen... sorry but no... doesn't it fo me!!!

  • @FarewellBlackSwan this is goth .. there are different types of goth... and emilie autumn happens to be victorian goth and shes a very talented person.. i would love to see some one try to compose her music and play violin the way she dose... she may not have done a good job at this cover but she can sing ... the way she sings is very rare and is realy hard to do.. when she sings she knows how to slur her notes insed of juz singing one note in one breath ...

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE

    EMILIE AUTUMN <3

  • Well... I usually like Emilie Autumns' stuff but this... this is just...

    No

Terrible, absolutely terrible... One of the worse covers I've ever listened to in my life.

  • @FarewellBlackSwan

well your right about this not being very gothic, but i personally i still like her singing voice.

  • @FarewellBlackSwan

You clearly don't even no what a 'Goth' is, never mind a brilliant voice when you hear it.

  • this is horrible

  • @Pondebong fuck off

  • @gangrene67 it is rushed way to much, it doesn't sound good rushed. and her voice doesn't match this song.

  • Amazing.

  • @teamedward890 She is a godness, man!

  • This cover was a refreshing eargasm. :3

  • I think this is a really good cover :D I am so jealous of her voice Xl It's interesting and beautiful, and she has such a range. I love the colours she wears too, I love pastely pink and blue with red. I've been trying to get my hair that colour for much too long now -_- (Not because of her, because I want it XD)

  • 79 people can't do the fandango and don't have the plague.

  • Emilie is so talented. I love her songs. Everything she writes is superb, and the great songs she does covers for are made a million times better. <3

  • Who is this girl?

  • @teamedward890 Emilie Autumn.... she's a fantastic singer... check out her Opheliac song :D

  • The Ghost of Freddie Mercury is haunting this bitch now.

  • 666 people like it...it's a good thing I'm not blown away by her version of the song, I'd have a hard time clicking on the Like button otherwise!

  • Anyone who thinks Emily Autumns can't sing is an idiot who knows nothing about the study of music and singing. Emily Autumn is one of the most amazing, talented female artists out there. Her high notes are superb and it is NOT easy to sing with the power and ferocity that she does, so anyone who criticizes her better be prepared that he/she can do better otherwise their opinion is unmerited.

  • @blackroseblade so by your opinion every music critic should sing? Well, you are wrong. You can have perfect pitch and you have the worst voice in the world.

I didnt say that her cover is bad (also i didnt say i like it)-i just think you are wrong.

  • @blackroseblade i agree with you!!! i love emilie !! i dont think the people who criticize her understand the hard life she had .. and how music was her only escape .. i dont think any artist in gothic music spent as much time as she did on her music skills so its not very nice to say horrible things about her if you dont even know anything about her !!!!!!

  • @hecate141 Actually, in the music world, people will criticsize whoever, no matter what their story. I mean, I'm pretty sure someone has criticsized Demi Lovato, and you can't deny she's been through tough shit.

  • @blackroseblade they should be prepared because plague rats are vicious and will tear them limb to limb

  • @blackroseblade and btw nice screen name ;)

  • @blackroseblade you're right!! thumb up!

  • @blackroseblade

It´s just a matter of taste. All the.. like stacatto hard fast notes she hit´s in this song... I don´t really like. But it´s not out of tune and if so very little. Wonder how many of those who comment here dress very un-mainstream and colours their hair in obnoxious colours xD

  • @blackroseblade Emilie*

  • @blackroseblade we can all think whatever the fuck we want and your lack of insight into that renders you the idiot. oh and emilie autumn can 'sing' as can marilyn manson ie badly.

  • Wow!

  • A beautiful cover to a classic Queen song.

  • I actually think this is a brilliant cover. Emilie Autumn is so damn good. I hate the way a lot of you are like "She can't sing at all"...well...I guess everyone's entitled to their own opinions, but SHE CAN SING. Maybe not in the conventional perfectionist kind of way, but in a unique and original style, that very few can imitate. Obviously, Queen's cover is always going to be the better of the two, but this is just a great cover and Emilie's really added a little feminine touch to it.

  • She's so weird, but so cool.

It'd be neat if she and Amanda Palmer collaborated one day.

  • this is epic on so many levels :D

  • I love her covers <3

  • Wow..and let me just say, I think Queen is one of the most overrated bands of all time...and I HATE this song. (Thanks to Wayne's World and every f'ing classic rock dj in the world)...but I don't hate this. Emilie is amazing.

  • This could quite possibly be the only cover of a Queen song that compares to the original. The two versions are completely amazing. I love how each has its own tone, personality and mood to it. The original had a sense of excitement and urgency, which was what made it amazing. This version is a little bit more mischievous and, dare I say, naughty. Emilie Autumn is no Freddie Mercury, but damn, has she outdone herself once again.

  • @mudbloodandproud25 > This could quite possibly be the only cover of a Queen song that compares to the original.

It does. Emile IS this song. She sings it with such feeling. From the inside. But...

    Try these:

Bohemian Rhapsody by a full orchestra. What a sound. watch?v=E5Qr6GQEwbg

    Killer Queen by Dilana watch?v=5fsgFDDV9ko

  • Emilie Autumn's covers are beyond real.

  • Good song, orginal is better imo, bcuz it's just, such a persanol song.

  • I love the way she sings like a violin.

  • All those of you harshly criticizing Emilie Autumn's cover of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody; can you actually put a name to what's wrong with it? She conveys the bitter-sweetness of the bohemian lifestyle just as beautifully as Mercury himself, while weaving her own distinctive style into it. It seems to me a lot of you were determined not to like it before you ever heard it, simply because it was a cover. And when your mind's already closed to new things, you're going to miss out on a lot.

  • @BSC621 Please stop sullying miss autumns videos. Sincerely, a dedicated muffin.

P.S. I've been a fan of Mr. Mercury for as long as I was old enough to appreciate music. Cover's aren't ment to compete with the origional. Artists pay homage by singing it in a way that expresses what that song means to them. If it had sounded exactly like his she wouldn't have been doing her job as an artist. I can respect that it's not your thing. But I simply can't let you make such an ignorant statment.

  • hahaha weird cover, but really good

  • :D i think she did perfect! this is an amazing cover ^_^ nobody can do it like Emilie autumn

  • This song came on the radio today(the original, of course) on my way to school, and my mom and I sang it the whole way there. XD

  • people like justin bieber get credit for mediocrity, lack of talent and having most of their singing edited. Emilie Autumn does all the instruments and voices in her songs- and does it amazingly- and is not as famous. its a tragedy

  • i absolutely love her look... just discovered her song the art of suicide and loved it.... bohemian rhapsody is my favorite song ever... unfortunately i dont like this version of it. its a good cover and very original... just not my taste... it doesnt capture all the fervor and excitement the original always brings me... her version sounds more like art, cant really rock out to it... i give this song a 6 out of 10 (average cover scores a 3)

  • ehhh

not anything close to the original

    but still quite good :3

  • @calliegurl12 No offence, but if I wanted something "close to the original", I would listen to the original :)

This is a cover, the thing that amazes me with covers is how the same song can sound so very different when interpreted by a different artist. Of course some does better jobs than others in combining the lyrics with their own music, some are more original than others, but to strive for a copy of the original music would be meaningless.

Or at least, that's my take on it.

  • Freddie Mercury would be so proud!!!

    Y^Y

    R.I.P. Freddie...

  • She's just a poor boy.

  • @AfroPunkprincess this is horrible

  • Emilie Autumn always has an outfit that just makes your jaw drop. she is the lady gaga of goth/emo

  • @Gursha88 Yeah, I´ve just discovered her this week and I´m convinced that SHE´S the right girl for making me desire her...such as lady gaga did!! XD!!

No, I really like her and it´s not only her look...it´s her energy..it´s all about HER!!

Greetings from Mexico (she´s coming to my country on November the 19th!! :P )

  • Def a fitting song for her image, and a great arngmt

  • I love this! It's so unique with her violin doing the solo, it's just fantastic.

  • I!....I....yeah. Maybe one day i'll meet her, or someone like her. Unlikely.

  • I love EAs version of this song ^.^ and not to mention i just love EA in all her moonlit glory ^.^ and the girls sound great!

  • i love her cover of this(:

  • al 100 y sin mamadas con esta rolota pues me acuerdo una vez que me andaba periqueando en el chez de la sexta con mis compillas y un caguamon en un vaso si si si me acuerdo qe el victor le dijo al paco qe si iban a caerle las morras pero qe siempre no por qe la emily estaba castigada por qe la torcieron fumando hierba en la casa de la karla y qe la karla no salia sin la emily hijo de la chingada pinche periqueadota

  • WOW.

  • Wow, 69 dislikes... Douches. You wanna bash her? Go on whatever person she covered video and say "Hey, this person sucks. Whatever you do, don't listen to her". More Autumn for us, and less haters for her. Everybody wins.

  • @RedGhost0 Lmfao. Can't handle that many dislikes? You're pathetic. I'm so sorry not everyone has the same music taste as you. It's amazing that you felt the need to comment about something as stupid as people disliking a song that you like. Would you like it more if EVERY SINGLE ONE of those 69 dislikes came here and trolled the fuck out of this video? It's better if, and I'm sure you'd agree if you had any brain at all, there is a dislike button instead of having mass haters comment.

  • @RedGhost0 I'd much rather people hit dislike than actually bashed the song. People have a right to like or dislike a song. It is when they start leaving "lol this song sucks!" comments you should get all up in arms.

  • I've never heard a good cover of this song. As much as I like Emilie she didn't change that.

  • This is PURE genius.

  • I like Emelie Autumn but after this I want to punch her in the throat

  • @PolarBearRug you didn't like it??

    I can see why :P

  • @PolarBearRug please dont o.O

    then thered be no F.L.A.G

  • Sounds like Tiny Tim.

  • This. Is. AMAZING 8D

  • Emilie is so brillant, I am glad with her Opheliac album, in my opinion she changed a lot the style of her songs, but in the same way the genre is the same but with cooler lyrics and also amazing melody

  • Love this song! Emilie autumn best version.

  • @x0mb66 She's quite a few steps above Amy Lee. So -shrug-

  • her cover makes me cry everytime haha.

It just feels like she is so sincere when she sings it, especially at the "Mamma, I don't want to die, sometimes wish I was never born at all"

I love EA so much <3

  • Kudos to Emilie Autumn. Very droll, as they would say in the 1800's.

  • 1) Emilie Autumn is PANSEXUAL. Not fucking lesbian.

    2) The cover of this song is almost perfect.

    3) She's in tune the whole time. Sometimes the backround singers, e.g. the Bloody Crumpets aren't.

    4) If you don't like her you can go fuck yourself and gtfo this masterpiece.

    5)Have a nice day.

  • @Maelovesyounot

Holy cow, she's pansexual? Like, she openly used that term? That's so cool!

  • @WilliamTheLord The Wiki page on her states that's she's asexual (Probably due to being raped, and abused on several occasions) not sure if one could believe it though. And it's not that big of a deal to use the word pansexual, heck, most bi people are pan, they just don't even know it's a word. Heck, I'm a pansexual transsexual. Cheers

  • @Maelovesyounot

    she's actually asexual

  • @mssdarkangel1100 is that possible??

  • @henanimejade

    what do you mean?

  • @mssdarkangel1100 to be asexual? or was that a joke...?

  • @henanimejade

asexual is an oriental like any other

such as straight, gay, bi, ect

    there is asexual

if somebody is asexual they are not attracted to any sex, and do not believe in sex

however this doesn't mean their incapable of love, because there are alot of asexual couples out there, they love each other, but they do not believe or want sex,

  • @mssdarkangel1100 It's not that we don't "believe in" sex -- we just don't see what the fuss is about. ;D I mean, sex is real, there's nothing to not believe in. We simply don't need sex in our lives. Being asexual means we can't or don't have sex. We just abstain because we dislike the thought of having sexual relations.

  • @mssdarkangel1100 LOL. You said Oriental.

  • @Dionysius8421

    haha xD

    i only just noticed that

    i meant orientation.

  • I especially like the first part, but I feel like the "Momma, I just killed a man..." should be stronger and more soulful/meaningful, just a little less staccato.

But then again, I think this is just her style.

    Great cover nonetheless.

  • I'm sure Freddy Mercury would be proud of her. Absolutely fantastic!

  • Wow, what a voice! I'm impressed! Sing it GRRRL!

  • fuckin coool song!!!

  • There are only two covers of this song that I ACTUALLY like. That is the Glee version and this version.

  • 5:12 lawl -sips tea-

  • eargasm D:! <3 it

  • ez genial

  • That dress she wears at 2:30 Is so beautiful, I wish I had that dress ;_;

  • In order to make a cover ;; do you need permission from the original artist?

  • @PrettayYoungThangg If you plan to make money on the cover, you need permission from whomever owns the rights to the song, not necessarily the original artist.

  • I have to admit, when first listening to this, I was not fond of it at all. Second time around, it was a bit more different, third time, I was hooked. I like how her voice is different than most female vocalists out there. Very nice.

  • If she doesn't give a fuck if I hate her then she won't mind.

  • Everything I hear about her seems to point toward good things, but her music in practice is just not interesting to me. She is both a puzzle an enigma.

  • way better then never shout never's cover by a long shot

  • I don't hate this. That's not to say I like it, though.

  • @michaelmerik i totally argree with you! i'm not a music student but i know a decent tone when i hear one! she is a dreadful singer....but if people like it they like it @Poisonousdestroyx it's more of a personal choice if anything

  • @michaelmerik Emilie Autumn was a music student too, and most likely a much better one than you are. She knew how to read sheet music before she learned the alphabet, is a classically trained violinist and is one of the most original artists around today. I do know what you mean by her voice being unusual, because I thought the same thing - it takes getting used to. But she is completely aware of how she sounds and doesn't care if anyone dislikes it. And there are plenty of people who love it.

  • sounds a bit like the intro of pinoccio ôO ???

  • Wow, sin palabras!!!!!

  • ♥Emilie Autumn ^.^

  • I... I think this is okay... hell, who am I kidding! I love this version! My mother thinks Im crazy for liking it

  • I thought I'd hate this but I like her twist on this song.

  • Emilie did the most awesomeness cover ever it can't get better than this

  • Emi's an amazing artist no matter what anyone says.

To be honest nobody can sing this quite as well as Freddie, but this version is still brilliant!

    Love for Emilie!

    Woo!

  • ::slow fap::

  • The thing I love most about her voice is that it is so incredibly clear.

  • @mko219 Who is the one singing in this video? You, or Emilie? Besides, if you don't like it than don't listen to it. This isn't the worst cover of Bohemian Rhapsody.

  • @MsBellaEdward Filthy Twilight fan aren't worthy of the glory of EA.

  • @AstroFerret I agree. Can you believe that these Twilight fans think that EA's songs are about the "relationship" of bella and edward? Disgusting.

  • @xgothicgrlx

yes that is extremely disgusting :P

  • Her covers fucking rock. Seriously. <3

  • @000BatteredRose000 Totally agree.

    <3

  • This is possibly the only good cover that will EVER be done for a Queen song. Which is a good thing since Emilie did such a brilliant job.

  • pink does a pretty good cover of this but it's not as good as emilie's :)

  • @TheGothickDoll You've obviously never heard The Muppets cover of Bohemian Rhapsody. Greatest Queen cover ever!

  • gran cover (:

  • love the song love the singer dont love the singer singing the song

  • i so love this!

I saw her live a few days ago and she sang this song and i was like: What's that song?

And now i found it on youtube :)

she's an amazing live singer and the bloody crumpets aren't bad at all ;)

  • @AngelNayru22 Wait, you DIDN'T recognize the Bohemian Rhapsody? Do you live in a cave ;O

  • ah i think so.^^

  • @xXShockSetsInXx

Haha.. I had never heard it until Emilie covered it.. xD

  • best song ever! she did good on it i love her

  • So what if she's lesbian or not, what does it really concern you people? It's not like any of you are dating her, or you wouldn't be watching this video, but listen to her singing herself, and constantly remind her how awesome she is, no matter if you're a straight boy or a lesbian girl!

  • you're so fucking right. that's not your problem, guys. let her live her life, she's the bes
