Mix concrete with a sort of shaving cream, they use it on airport runways to slow planes down, it creates a sort of spongy, super crumble effect that absorbs and disperses inertia quite well, varying ratios of cream to concrete would slow you exponentially, and safely. (also pretty fucking cheap)

And if you can cut a 35mph descent rate down to about 17mph, we can survive a 17mph impact pretty easily. It'd hurt, but probably just bruise ya. Horizontal speed could be cut, too, so it might almost be possible to swoop down, line up with an uphill grade, and swoop up to it and basically stall out and tumble a little. Barely rougher than a less-than-perfect chute landing. Possible?

So... What about a biplane-style wingsuit? Wingsuits inflate, as I understand it, so as to produce some lift as opposed to just steering through a slipstream... Why not stitch a second, identical wing as another layer on the dorsal (back) side of the already existing wings in a wingsuit, with fabric standoffs? Wouldn't this effectively double the lift induced at speed? With more lift, one can achieve a slower descent, right?

What may be possible is sliding down a snow covered mountain. I have seen video of wingsuit flyers flying just above a ski run. Imagine if the wingsuit flyer had a pair of skis. Would it be possible to land??? Maybe like a ski jumper??? While your at youtube, search for skydiver hits bridge. Brutal video to watch. Very sad. I have jumped six times. I wouldn't attempt what these guys do. They have my respect for doing what they do, so very well.

This could be possible. If you have a runway with a slope that matches a wig suites glideslope and a personal landing gear system. The landing gear could be lightweight wheels or skii.

I have read of a few instances of parachutists who have landed on steep, snowy mountain slopes and survived well...when their chute failed.

The key for these new landings seems to be a lot of experience prior to an attempt. With a 2 - 3:1 glide ratio, there doesn't seem much room for error.

A wing suit can cost between $700.00 USD and well over $1000.00 USD.

You can buy one, but you should have at least several hundred skydives or base jumps before you're ready to try one. You need to be able to handle a malfunction without one. With a wing suit, you have a number of releases that have to be pulled before you can deal with a bad main and cut away.

No one has yet jumped out of or off of anything, flow their wing suit and landed without a parachute.

@DirtyWheels89 the wingsuit is laid on top of a rig with the arm wings (semi) detached. The legstraps feed through holes in the back of the wingsuit and the arm wings are stiched back onto the wingsuit and around the rig with cables. some wingsuits now have an easy zip up system
