I'm just getting ready to head out to DLR and was wondering if they allowed you to have things on the walls? LOL. I've heard mixed things on having pictures/shelves put up
You guys got the hard wood floors and washer!?!?!?!. lucky! lol. I did Fall Advantage 2009 at Disney World. Even though it was a terrific experience I still would've appreciated those conveniences. lol Where did you work? I was a pirate.
@Tbocko haha, no way I totally randomly typed in disneyland college program - and I see someone commented "That's our room right? 519"! haha, Tom, she had the room SOOOOOO much cleaner than you guys did! Don't show her how trashy you guys kept it. I hung out in this room ALL the time! What a small world that's nuts. Gosh I'm so curious if anyone had my room - 408??!!
The Disneyland College Program requires you to take a class through their curriculum, depending on the class, you may end up paying for your textbook. I took the leadership speaker series which consisted of no work whatsoever so I paid nothing for the class. Disney definitely does NOT pay for your apartment rent. When I did the program it was 134 a week.
Youll find that Disney isnt keen on giving away freebies. They like money, ALOT.
Huh... interesting. The classes I wanna take is the Art/ Graphic design class, Do U think theres thing through that class Id have to pay for??
and also, for it to be that mutch money just for one person to stay at the appartments... how mutch money winds up on your check when you work for DL??
They def do not pay for your apartment. They pay for very little. Classes actually cost money. Sorry for any crushing of the excitement. It should be fun for you, good luck!
Were you in room 519? I watched this video when i was anticipating movin in for the college program. Then when I moved in I thought i got your room. I'm in 419 but it kinda looks from your vid that your a floor higher. The apartment looks exactly like mine though. ha =)
I am! It's nice to kinda talk to you after watching this vid a million times before I was here. Did you ever get any character parts after the auditions or anything? Thats something I'm interested in too.
The bunk bed and the missing dryer kinda kills it for me. I did the CP in Orlando and the design of Patterson Court compared to Carnegie Plaza is totally out of whack. The good thing here is the sleek design of the appliances but PC was more like a hotel. I switched to Chatham<3 the best place to live, really spacious and the bathroom was connected to the room. I mean, WTF. What the hell are you going to do with JUST a washer?
oh ok, good, that would be messed up to not have one and just a washer, but bunk beds?? i'd feel so uncomfortable, probably cause I had them when I was 7. o.o
i stayed in Carnegie Plaza, i was the first group to move in May of 2008.....your going to have so much fun, be sure to take advantage of all the activities offered within the college program.
thanks so much for posting this. its great to see some video of dlr and not wdw. i'm applying right now for spring 2010. do you still like the program after being there a few months?
Yes! The program has been wonderful. Living in SoCal is just great, there are many opportunities and activities around the area which provide an often needed break from the parks. Have you heard anything back about your application?!
We pay 134 a week, not bad at all considering Californias cost of living. It usually takes a while for them to proces everyhing, up to a past a month even, so hang in there!
I haven't heard anything back yet! I interviewed 3 weeks ago and from what I've heard, no one that applied for DLR has heard from them yet. Hoping I get to get a response soon!
Well glad to help! Heard anything back on your application yet? There were some cps that stayed in Broadway for the summer but everyone is in Carneige now.
wow you have WAY nicer apartments than we did in Flordia... but i still love Flordia more :D
