Did this to a mate of mine the easy way. He is one of those that rushes through a basket of balls at the driving range. It was easy to slip it into the basket when he wasn't looking & because many driving range balls are quite scuffed and plain it's easily missed by someone rushing for the next shot.

Only problem was you don't know when he'll select that ball, so the first anyone know it happens is when the smoke rises, lol!
