  • at first I thought they were going to do a version of "Teenage waste land" at the end there...And I about crapped myself...

  • jeff never wanted to share the spot light, jay used to melt my face

  • I can't believe Jay died!! He is such a huge contributing factor to the success of Wilco! He was such a visionary and an amazing talent. How sad!

  • Don't get me wrong, the current Wilco line-up is stellar to say the least; however, I miss the old days with this line-up. They were so straight forward, yet innovative... A breath of fresh air in the face of rock and roll. The new Wilco flirts with being too intellectual, more of a "musician's band", but then again, they have more commercial success now more than ever, so what the heck do I know. Long live Jay Bennett, Ken Koomer and WILCO.

  • i'm with you. still the best version of the band for having a beer and hanging out in the sun. nothing compares to this version of wilco. you said it best.. straight ahead, but innovative at the same time. enough to rock and keep you on your toes. wouldn't have happened if jay didn't show up in the band.

  • @77starcaster From the glorious Americana of Being There, to the pop sensibility of Summerteeth, to the experimentation and devotion to songwriting in Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, there are few bands that have ever put together such a fantastic three-album stretch.

  • jay bennet is the man

  • Kingpin is sucn a badass tune!

  • nels cline aint bad either

  • Jay Bennett is the most underrated figure in the past 20 years of music, bar none.
