  • how much was the cymbals????

  • Lovin that Silken! T is the man for sure! I just picked up a complete set of Wuhan NT cymbals.. Amazing quality for what you get! Looking at the Silken Sebring and Hansun for some additional sounds... I believe that the Silken and Wuhans are made in the same factory that puts out the dream brand..I'ts all good! I am for deviating from the norm when it comes to drum gear.. Check out my vid for the Wuhans and my new CC birch drum kit.. Peace!

  • Small brands never seem to disappoint. But since it's made in Wuhan as well, I think I will just stay with Dream.

  • love that silken owning the more expensive aax and a custom, Im gonna get some silkens from Tony, Avus 10" and 8" splashes and hopefully a 18" sebring China. I hope they sound as good as yours.

  • @luiggiibanez Hell yea man the Avus are amazing. I was really close to getting the 8 and the 10 but didn't quite have enough at the time. And that Sebring china is to die for!!!! Idk if you watched Tony's Sebring demo but the china stands out like crazy cause its so good. You will not be disappointed I promise.

  • nice man. i really like the silken its sophisticated to say the least, but im really liken that aax too!

  • sounds pretty good. But I noticed it takes more time to open up and more time to close than the rest. Thats not necessarily something bad, just something to point out. I would have liked it if you compared it to an AA crash and an A Zildjian crash. But im not gonna force you to buy cymbals to compare :P

Good job on the Purple Haze cover by the way ;)

  • @Salzcamino It does take longer to open up, just like Sabian AA's or Zildjian A, but its tone is darker and richer than both. I used to have an old AA but that is actually what the Hansun replaced. It takes longer because the hammer marks are small and takes more power to unleash that sound, which is exactly what I was looking for unlike the AAX or A Custom cymbals. I love this damn thing man.

  • @guitardude1230 Alright then :)

I'm not gonna try to ruin it for you by telling you about my dream crash :P

If you love it, stick to it. If its "your" sound, keep it and cherish man! My sound has yet to come up.

  • @Salzcamino

PLease tell me about your dream. Ive considered getting one but every sound clip I hear of Dream, the cymbal has a trashy sound that im personally not a fan of, BUT ive never played a dream in person so who knows? You like dream's a lot? Do you have a bliss? Or Contact?

  • @guitardude1230 Oh, god. No :P. I meant my fantasy cymbal, not dream the company :P

    Sorry dude :P

  • fantastic comparison man! that silken is freakin loud. haha awsome

  • @xXKRoweXx

Thanks man, yea I really love the Silken. I actually just got a Zildjian Avedis Rock Crash (189 bones new) and the Silken is just so much more rich and complex. Both good cymbals but I would pick Silken any day. Next time you have $100 bucks and wanna buy an awesome cymbal check out Silken. I want everyone to be as satisfied as me haha.

  • this is funny to me for some reason.

  • Haha yea man, I felt so stupid recording it.
