  • I bet setting 60 of those clocks is a pain

  • AND WHEN THE POWER GOES OUT?

  • You must have a lot of time on your hands.

  • Why would you not arrange these in a circle? It's a nice idea as it is but it would be far more compelling to watch it loop, implying this continuous, incessant repetition of time.

  • its so goooood !

  • genius man. just genius.

  • To get round the YouTube copyright police with their special checksum powers, why not just open Deep Blue's 'Child In Time' in another tab.

  • Stumbled this.

That's pretty cool. I'd like to see this done with thousands of clocks.

  • It's a cool piece, but how exactly do you read the time?

Is it the time on the last clock + # of clocks that stepped forward OR time on the first clock + # of clocks that stepped forward?

It's just one part that I couldn't properly understand (considering audio was stripped due to the YT police).

  • First clock tells the time, hours and minutes. The rest of the clocks animate the seconds.

Check out "Real Time" by Joe Mckay.

  • cool thanks. that's an awesome song man... hey, how much did it cost you to buy all those clocks??? very cool

  • $5 a clock X 60 clocks = Priceless

  • what song is this i love it... who plays it?

  • Deep Purple "Child in time"

  • great idea, but i better spend that money for something more useful :)

  • su_BLIME

  • saw this while looking around fivemilliondollar man sweet stuff.

  • do toy have some fettish with barcodes? a barcode carpet, numerous barcode videos, a barcode website

  • How many tries did it take to get it just right??

  • or make them go backwards :D

  • ya need to compact it a little and make so ya can hang it on a wall. would totally want one for my place. cool

  • yeah man nice work, you could take the screens and electrics out and compact them down, but then I gues the whole point is that they are alarm clocks and should look like theyre alarm clocks

  • awesome!

  • Thank you, demarcate.

  • now set the alarms to go off at 1 in the morning!

  • Awesome.

  • eh. how about like, making it do stuff other than. . .make every clock tick a second. You know, something that will mess with how the numbers show that makes picture or a sweet light show. With this we're lookin at 60 clocks. . .telling the wrong time.

  • and ?

  • yes... and???

  • A I can think to say is... so what?

  • What a collosal waste of money. And they say we're in a recession...

  • i think it would be more spectacular..if each number changes in that second and it shows a different lighting

so instead of it being one second apart, you're more lookin at the pattern of lighting rather than it being one second apart you could use this great experiment at work by actually doing it and making a psychadelic light show.

like at 54seconds how the lights go in sync.

do you get what im saying?!

anyways nevermind it was just an idea.

  • OMG Just look at that wiring!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I would hate for the power to go out!

  • i like what you do your very productive its hard to generate all this work so fast.stay selfish!

  • this is great scott you continue to be one of my favorite artists keep it up

  • bei lavori ciao

  • very funny! great.

  • i want my 4 min and 12secs back!!!

  • This guy needs to find a girl.

  • Very cool... Never would have thought to try this, but it is very satisfying to watch. Killer tune too! Nice work!

  • This reminds me of when we used to set all the alarm clocks in K-Mart to go off one, then two minutes later, two more, then all of them at once a few minutes later. much love scott.

  • That would be much more ammusing to see/hear with all of these!

  • so how tedious was it setting all those clocks?

  • this is impossible..

becuase the clocks keep going while your setting them.. tsktsktsk.

  • Every time I press the minute button the clock resets the seconds to zero. Try it on your alarm clock. Not impossible.

  • john cage ish

  • "I have nothing to say and I'm saying it"

  • futurism lives! except for the whole fascist part...

  • can u tell wich this song is pleeeeeeeeeeeezzzz!!!!!!

  • Deep Purple "Child in time"

  • I thought it was pretty sad.

  • Cool... I like it, create a smaller version and see if you could sell it...

  • well done lads a great way to pass a few hours, oh the passing of time. cool work. great fun, mighty stuff.

  • well done

  • nice

  • Interesting piece. Though the hand has some glitches... a couple seemed to be slightly off pace when you had to move up to the next column.

Why not just set them by power... As you plug them in they goto 12:00 and start going. There are also 'delay circuits' like they use in some lighting situations... which you can splice into the cables... then when you plug that 1 cord in... one turns on a controllable time after another... and they all automatically set.

  • Alright, thats kinda cool. I would do it. oh yah, am I the first to comment. cool.
