Hey 5 stars btw very nice. You seem to know what your doing. I just sold my drum set and felt I got ripped off, it was: zildjian hi-hats , crash and ride cymbol. Remo snare, base, 2 toms and a floor Tom . All had seperate Pearl stands .. It was 5 years old and i sold for $350 I now know the snare was worth 200 alone .. What do you or anyone else think the set was worth roughly? Thx so much

beat :53 would sound better if you did doubles on the kick drum. trust me when i play groves like that now, throwing in doubles with one foot in the groove makes it sound that much better.

yea it should do. i would personally want a bigger floor tom. the bass drum is a great bass for double kikin.

hey does this kit get drowned out by big crashes and rides like 21" and up cuz im used to playing big sized cymbals and drums and was wanting to try a smaller kit for a change what do you guys think?

I love the hell out of these drums. As I said below, I just took them on tour across the country and they held their own up to custom kits and sets that cost 4 times the amount. I put a set of Evans EC2s on the toms and they are insane!

Also, no. I don't use a double kick pedal.

i'm looking into buying that shell pack, how do you like it? i've heard some complaints about the snare.

I would definitely recommend the shell pack! The snare is actually amazing! It's a 13 inch shell and it has a ton of character and pop. As for the toms, in this video they sound pretty dry but if you were to get them, I would definitely put some Evans EC2s on the toms. It gives them a lot more punch and depth.

These drums recently went on tour with me with my band Pull The Pin. They were everything I needed and then some.

And yes, the rack mount did come with the shell pack.

Hard to say. I've had the cymbals and hardware forever. The shells were $650... but my cousin owned the store, so... ;^)

Yeah, definitely. The shell and hardware pack for my kit was retailing for almost $800. That's a steal. Enjoy them! And when the stock heads wear out, get Evans EC2s on your toms.

The stock heads are Evans G1 batter heads and they're very good for stock heads. But depending on your preference, they can be a little lackluster and dry for tom work. If you want some great depth and punch, I highly recommend the Evans EC2s.

Yeah, Gretsch sells them with Evans G1 coated heads. It's a pretty cool perk. That way you don't have to go and spend like 75 bucks once you pick them up.
