Oh yeah, also, what a lot of people don't know is that since sampling in hip-hop became a popular "sound", the record companies encouraged a lot of producers to sample old songs in order to revive their sales. I'm not saying in all cases but quite a few cases, the record companies have literally told in-house producers that they must sample certain songs under contractual obligation. So, yet again, it's all about the benjamins!

You don't buy a pair of jeans and say "I don't like it because it was cut from denim where other jeans were cut from!!". You look at the finished jeans and say you like them or not. Some of the best hip hop is "looped", look at all of wu-tangs first album, rza wasn't even on key at times and it sounded dope.
